The Chimera's hide is thick, but Matrix still managed to crush it's throat enough to stun it. The fist shot pierced the beasts chest entering it's heart, the other two pierced the brains of the goat and dragon respectively. The first kick broke the jaw while the hammer kick crushed its skull, an eye popping out as the echo of guns and broken bones fills the air. "You will haunt these lands no longer.... I wonder if the yakfolk will pay us for killing this?" Matrix turns to his friends, gun smoking and blood splattered about, "Ok, what are we doing now?"
"Well, this cave is probably safe now," Ink says. "Flint could calmly identify the items or we head up before we wake anyone else up in that village. Let's hope they're used to hearing the Chimera's roar."
Don spends several minutes searching through the bleached bones on the cliff side. These skeletal remains all look like they belong to either humanoids of varying stature, or to medium-sized animals.
Thick, gray clouds and howling wind make it difficult to negotiate the last hundred feet or so, but certainly make it easier to approach the yakfolk village unseen and unheard. As you come out of the clouds, you see perhaps the only switchback in the entire 500 foot staircase, which leads up to the outer walls of the village that you'd previously seen from the air. The walls are made from mortared stone and are 20 feet high. Double doors made of thick, ironbound oak are set into the walls.
A cleft in the mountainside splits the village into two sections, and waterfall runs through it. The two sections all respectively walled off, and are connected only by a rope-and-plank bridge, lashed to four sturdy wooden posts. There used to be a wooden bridge close to the waterfall, from the looks of it; but it has obviously rotted away.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Ink takes a moment to see through Quill's eyes as she flies overhead... He's looking for any sort of activity in the village, out of place objects or people/creatures, paths that seem to lead closer to the mountains and possibly the fire giants' lair.
// Perception Check through Quill's senses... 17 //
The yakfolk village looks like a peaceful, idyllic hideaway perched atop a mountain cliff, with high walls to keep the howling wind at bay.
At this hour in the late morning, there are surprisingly few people outside. Several yaks and boars roam their pens, and four halflings—stoutheart by the looks of them—are at work in the tiered fields (area 7). Two are currently sitting in the branches of fruit trees and pruning them, and two are fitting a plow to a yak’s harness.
One large being, a yak-like humanoid, is surveying the fields with a smoking pipe in hand.
// You have two basic options for getting into the village—either announce your presence at either of the gates, or try to circumvent the walls somehow. //
Ink comments, "We could try and scale a wall and perhaps make it across that axle into the mountain, but that looks very difficult - and if we fall, it's a long drop."
"Perhaps it best if we just entreat ourselves to the village leaders, and convince, whether honestly or deceptively, to let us pass into the fire giant's domain. Besides, those halflings working the field... I suspect that they aren't be paid for this work and I don't want our actions to create collateral damage. We have had enough of that I feel."
Ink then looks at Saarvin and asks, "In your travels, have you dealt with any Yakfolk? What is their temperament?"
The Dragonborn scout shrugs. “Never have I encountered these creatures before personally, though I have been told much the same as we heard the other day—they are not to be trusted.”
Eyeing up the gap created by the waterfall, he says, “It would certainly be the adventurous choice! Climbing across the water mill. Another great story in the making.”

Looking to see if any of the bones look like what everyone described the yak folk..
"You think this thing bothered those guys? Or do you think we killed their pet or protector?"
