Looking through a slit in the bottom of the open door frame you see a tumbler with slots cut in it. Most of the slots are empty, but some have devices in them. It seems all of the doors have similar mechanisms.
It appears that each time the door is closed the tumbler will roll to the next slot and it may or may not trigger a trap the next time it opens. The next slot on this door contains... (4)... Nothing.
You will have advantage to inspect doors on this map in the future, knowing what to look for.
Dardan moves out to fight Rothander who stands alone. He pulls free his sword and strikes (with disadv.) hitting (1)18 for 7. On a hit he will Smite the giant for another 6 radiant. Rothander dodges and the blow is deflected by his armor.
