Tommary checks Toots' rigging, "I'll take a gander."  He tosses one of his light slugs into the hole, traces Windbreaker around the opening for any signs of alarm, grabs the rope with his free hand before dropping his legs in to grab the rope with his boots.  Holding himself in place he looks at the party and does his best Willem Defoe impression before he enters the dungeon in the reel Platoon saying, "See you next week."  He then loosens his boots' hold on the rope and descends to see what he can see.

The lighted coin falls illuminating the tube, then an expanded area, you catch sight of the tops of giant mushrooms, a green carpet of moss or slime, then the coin sinks into the green surface, and is lost to sight. At a guess the bottom is about 100 feet down. The room below is again dark.

When Tommary gets about halfway down the rope, he gets a bzzt bzzt from his sword.

OOC: How long is this rope?  50'?  So I'm maybe 75' above the swampy layer?

Tommary the Unworthy messages Toots, "It's a long way down, but I may got a more pressing problem where I'm at."  He then cast light upon Windbreaker and does a sweep of his vicinity for whatever's bugging the air cutting blade.  

“Well come back up here where it’s safer and we can tie on more rope, we have plenty.”

If Tommary's 360 check of his position doesn't provoke anything, he'll begin climbing up.

 The channel is an opening in the roof of a natural looking cavern but the light doesn't shine far enough to show walls or floor.

The sword seems concerned about the downward direction.

"Not sure if Windbreaker was speaking to the end of the shaft, but where my litecoin landed it's marshy at best, might just be some vegetation and slime filmed over water ... which would make sense given this is usually drainage.  I'd expect some sort of slime or ooze, but that completely a hunch.  If there's something else along the way down, I didn't see it.  Of course, maybe it was just tripping that I was at the end of the line and shouldn't make a 50' dive into dark water."

"Hmm...so the drain's a one-way trip, if we go.  An' it sounds absolutely disgustin', prolly smells even worse.  What's our other options again, 'fore we follow th' shite to th' bottom of the outhouse?"
