To Prove D&D Exists for Echolon

As the party descends the lines, the frog people back up cautiously but do not seem on the defensive nor do they show aggression. 

The water is about 10 feet deep and clear, the sand is too far to swing to unless you all can somehow coordinate swinging the rope together.

“What the heck, I’m not made of sugar, I won’t melt. And at least this water is clean!” Toots splashes down merrily into the clear water. She then swims to shore and begins prestidigitating herself dry.

"Wait!" Tommary the Unworthy but Something of a Stunt Choreographer from his Time with the Totally Real Fighting Circuit attempts to grab Toots before she dives (call it a grapple at disadvantage?  athletics 9

"I think we can make it, if you all follow my lead as far as throwing our weight in time."

OOC: Skill challenge for Tommary to choreograph and coordinate a group swing, maybe with a choral "Woooooooo!"

If nobody objects, theY get a little wet but only temporarily. The frog people stay out of the way and mostly watch from the side. There seems to be more of them now - about 20.

Tommary the Unworthy of Diplomatic Immunity hunkers down in the sand like that masterpiece of Rodan the Windcaver.  On his haunches he endeavors to draw a map in the sand, including a relief of the mountain indicating where they entered as well as the top hole, markings for the various guardians and personalities of the dungeon, tracing their path to where they are now, after which he gestures at the spokesfrogger inviting them to elaborate if they're able.  What he's really up to from this vantage is scanning the surrounding froggers gear seeing if any of the swords, tridents, fetish tridents, or hammers pop out as something resembling a weapon of no small reknown.  perception  16

 The equipment of the frog people is crude but well constructed, mostly of wood and stone.

The frog rep adds some squiggles and points indicating the path of the river and some side caverns. He signs that the river path will take you outside.

Elyona sighs and guetting wet yet again, but clambers down, feeling a bit clumsy and ungainly. She carefully keeps her hands away from her weapons and puts on her friendly face. She does eye the frog people’s weapons with curiosity, but is careful not to stare too long or to look hostile or suspicious.  

OOC: perception roll in case you want it for her assessment of the weapons. 8 if it is sufficiently high for her to glean what Tommary did, she will ask Tommary to pass on her appreciation of the workfrogship of their weapons, along with the fact that she used to make weapons herself. (Her background is smith)

Toots begins to dry Elona with magic. “Don’t want you to rust.” Toots winks.

She recognizes that the weapons are quite well constructed and would definitely be effective at poking holes in things without falling apart. There is a decided lack of metal and she would only guess that the "Speaker" has an item with any enchantment - a stone tipped spear that distorts the light near the tip. While there are several hammers, tridents, and swords, none have the feel of anything legendary.

OOC: Can Toots make any kind of check to see if she knows anything about these frog people? And she would also like to make an Insight check into them to read their intentions: (6). 🤞🤞

None of you have encountered the frog people before. So it is all new.

They just stare at you with large black shiny eyes and don't move much. One will sink into the water or walk away but another or maybe the same one comes back.

Tommary will also try to do a visual scan of their immediate environment to see if there's anything the frog folks may be leaving off to shuffle us intentionally or misunderstandingly out of the mountain.  Perception 12 

OOC: got a busy weekend of birthday parties, probably will be scant attendance to the game till monday
