I own the digital TCE sourcebook. I created a 2024 character. specifically a satyr level 4 draconic sorcerer. I am trying to add TCE metamagic adept feat. However, its still referencing the 2014 wording and doesnt remove the selected metamgaic options from level 10 options. is there a way to have it using te 2024 metamagic options?
I tried to create a custom feat but thats not working as well.

The feat is from a 2014 book and will therefore be based on 2014 things.
If you want the feat to use 2024 stuff then you will need to make a homebrew version that does.

Yeah thats what i figured. i tried creating a homebrew feat but i can't seem to figure out how to add the metamagic options that will tie in to the current metamagic options the character already has? Do i need to specify each metamagic option as an action under the options?
Also in the marketplace it shows "compatible with new core rules" which implies it uses 2024 version of options???

Compatible with new core rules is for general play, not in regards to D&D Beyond specifically.
The proper function of metamagic adept, even for 2014, is locked in stuff we can't do as homebrewers. What you can do is for the feat to be specific for that character. As an example, you're not replicating general choice metamagic adept feat, you're adding Kaz's Metamagic Adept feat that adds Subtle Spell and Distant Spell metamagic. Then the person who plays Kaz just needs to remember not to take Subtle/Distant Spell metamagic when selecting metamagic for their class.
It's clunky, but still an improvement (very marginally) over pencil and paper.

this manual as well as others are not letting me create characters with the options in the book and I own them digitally not sure why that is. I have tried including legacy, not including legacy, allowing source material an not allowing source material. I find it frustrating that books I purchased I can not use to make characters.

Have you tried enabling Expanded Rules (which is what Tasha's is categorised under, not Legacy)
I'm gonna guess that you selected a 2024 subclass and trying to select one of the subclasses that were updated to 2024.
If so, try removing the class and on the class page choose to add the 2014 version (under 2014 Core Rules category).

So, I am guessing that there has not been much/any progress on better implementing the Sidekicks stuff from Tasha's yet? It is rather painful to use with Dnd Beyond in it's current state.

All functionality still missing from this book. Or other books

Yes it literally only gives me Xanathars guide and Sword Coast.
It wont let me choose any Tahas Subclasses or any other subclass that isn't in Sword Coast or Xanathar's and I digitally purchased several others.
