The tiefling variants get their ability score improvement twice in the optional race customization. Can give my tieflings two +1's and two +2's to different stats.
All-Purpose Tool should give an action that lest you learn a cantrip for 8 hours once per day (reset at dawn). However I don't see a way to do this? Am I missing it or is it just not yet implemented?
Creating a custom action seems like a solid work-around for now.
As we update and fix issues, we will be removing those from the original post and detailing the updates in the second post in this thread, which will be dedicated to Issue Resolution. So, I am not sure if this has been fixed yet, but I apologize if it has. Homebrewing a feat does not work when you try to add a modifier. Please send help!
Are the "Beast of the Land", Sea and Air going to have usable stat blocks to add to extras?
Same question here!
I think they reference on page one under scaling statblocks. Apparently the tech for that is still in development.
I’m not sure I follow you, as Battle Smith Defenders are currently up as options for Artifcers and they too are driven off PB. Why not have Primal Companion set up same way until the tech is perfected. Seems a good way to keep the masses at bay...
You do need to buy the book to gain access to these features. The optional features have been added as an option for every character sheet, however, you need to own the book to gain access to the optional rules described in TCoE. I believe this is due to plans for homebrew custom class rules, but I am not sure. Correct me if I'm wrong, this is just what I've heard.
I pre ordered the book and have enabled the additional options toggle on the character builder but when I go to select the additional options in race or class it directs me to the marketplace.
Hi! Does anyone know if you need to buy the book to access the optional class features? If that's the case, do you need to buy the whole book? I'm interested in a couple of Optional class features for some of my characters but the options aren't showing like in this Image in any of my classes and also definitely not showing in the marketplace if I only want to buy these features. :(

At Level 3 (Fighter 1 / Monk 2), Unarmed Fighting (fighting style) and the Monk's Martial Arts feature should allow a character, provided they aren't wearing any armor, aren't using a shield, and aren't wielding any weapons to make Unarmed Strikes with Dex or Str and use a d8 as the damage dice.
As you can see in the demonstration character I made for this bug (https://ddb.ac/characters/39415665/lBHxRN), the Attack actions section contains an Unarmed Strike option with the correct Attack & Damage values, but Attack Bonus Actions section doesn't only lists options for the Martial Arts Bonus Action Unarmed Strike and the Flurry of Blows Unarmed Strike that use a d4 for the damage die.
If I want to play with the new ranger optional class features and the new beast master companion. Do I have to buy the whole book or can I buy the new ranger subclasses separately?
When you choose the new Superior Technique fighting style, there's no option to pick a maneuver to go with it. The function works fine for the Martial Adept feat when creating a variant human, though.
When i select eldricth adept feat i cant choose an invocation, while the metamagick feat works off the bat
As per the very first post in this thread:
CHARACTER OPTIONS: FEATS
Tasha brings a whole slew of new feats to customize your characters!
Eldritch Adept and Fighting Initiate - The systems to support these feats are currently in development, we have provided placeholder feats so they can be selected for now.
Fey Touched, Shadow Touched, Telekinetic and Telepathic - These feats have been separated into 3 feats each to cover the different Statistics Intelligence, Wisdom and Charisma. Please select the one appropriate to your character.
The Martial Adept feat from the Player's Handbook does not include the new battlemaster maneuvers from this sourcebook.

The new fighting styles are missing from the Champion subclass's Additional Fighting Style feature.
Same question here!
In the sidekicks section, seems like there are one or two points where the healer spellcaster is called priest instead.
Super small, barely an issue, looks like it might just be a holdover from a previous draft, but wanted to pass it on
For the Ranger: Having Favored Foe enabled isn't removing 6th-level Favored Enemy and 14th-level Favored Enemy in the character builder.

Do you have to buy tasha's to get the extra class features? Like the enhanced spell lists, because I can't find them when looking at the known spells.

I can't infuse my armorer weapons with Enhance weapon. I'm pretty sure this a bug.
Is it possible to create homebrew class feature variants?
