1, 3, 4, and 5 have all been done to death, and 6 usually only works as a jumping off point. But 2... I have always loved The Count of Monte Cristo. That would be great as a campaign adaptation.
I wouldn't say they are classics but I've wanted to do a Campaign based around the Sharpe series of books byt Bernard Cornwell for a while, its all based in and around the Napoleonic War, I'm thinking of making the main unt the 95th Giff Rifles and having them led by Giff mercenaries, all characters have the Weapon Master feat starting off to represent specialtraining with muskets etc.
