since the tooltips thread is locked I'm putting this here. there are certain tooltips I'm having trouble with and it's driving me crazy, for example, the exhaustion tooltip won't work no matter how much I finagle. the luckstone or stone of good luck won't work either way I phrase it. what am I doing wrong?!
[_condition] exhaustion [/condition_], take out the underscores and spaces and you get exhaustion.
Some of the issues come from how the system automatically converts text to HTML. For example, whenever we type an apostrophe, it gets converted to “‘,” Now, they set the spells to use the html, which is why the “named spells display incorrectly sometimes. But everything else typically uses the text formatting. So if you try to tooltip a tool with an apostrophe in the name, like alchemist's supplies, and you don’t edit the formatting to convert it back to an apostrophe, the tooltip won’t work. (Editing the formatting can be done by hitting the little button with this symbol: </> ) For whatever reason, that particular magic item must have some html in there. I find that it often helps to simply copy/paste the name of the whatever from its description page. That way you know it will match up.
Well, for the luckstone, I’m willing to bet that one or more of the spaces in that magic item’s name has an inadvertent in its place. That’s my guess anyway.
Edit: I’da lost that bet. 🤷♂️ For whatever reason it didn’t work properly when I spelled it out myself. (Is it possibly case sensitive?) And my spellcheck didn’t say I spelled anything incorrectly aside from wanting me to split “luckstone” into two words.

It's worth knowing that there are multiple apostrophes, that have different ASCII values.

🤷♂️ Maybe it was one of those typos that are still words (like maybe I left one of the Os out of good)?

HOW DID YOU DO THAT!?!?!
[ magicitem ] Stone of Good Luck (Luckstone) [ /magicitem ]
Take out the inappropriate spaces and you get:
Stone of Good Luck (Luckstone)
And she may in fact weigh the same as a duck?
