Hi all! I'm pretty familiar with D&D Beyond and was experimenting with creating a homebrew subclass. I am by no means familiar with the how to make things in homebrew but it doesn't seem all that difficult. Essentially I am trying to make my own subclass for the monk that is based off the anime Fire Force. With those of you who are familiar, I am attempting to recreate a Benimaru character. Anyways I am trying to make it to where this subclass acquires spells and cantrips at certain levels. However, they are not showing up on my test character sheet. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
okay set the subclass to can cast spells and set your casting score and spell list as needed. Then you need a feature with ¨Spellcasting¨ or ¨Magic¨ in the name (note the caps you need it to be capitilized to work). Then wait about ten minutes and try again.

No, “Magic” won’t work at all. “Pact Magic” would work, but that might go wonky if they ever actually fix it. So it’s better to just stick with “Spellcasting” as the feature.
Under Basic Information you need: “Can Cast Spells” set to “Yes,” you need “Spellcasting Ability” sr to whichever (for a Monk I recommend Wisdom), and you need to either enter something under “Spell List” or else list out a bunch of individual spells under the “Additional Specific Spells” section. Leave the rest absolutely blank and then [SAVE CHANGES].

Now when you say a feature, do you mean a "feat" or a feature for the subclass?
