Trying to work out a similar homebrew feat as Magic Initiate or the X-touched feats (ie: Learn one 1st level spell of your choice from X schools...). So far, nothing seems to work. The Add Spells tab only lets me add specific spells, not grant a choice in the matter. And for some reason, I can't just make a copy of those other feats. So... hm. What do I do?
Aren't you able to set some toggle that allows you to limit spells learnt by school/level/class or similar? I think there is some sort of setting that allows you to do such.
I just made one from scratch too see if I ran into a problem. It worked right away for me, so were your steps, create new feat, then simply go to spells and do what you did above?
You can have it sort be “Spell Level” and “Spell Class,” or you could set it be “Spell Class” and “Level Divisor.” The first would grant a spell of a specific level from a specific class spell list. The second would grant a spell from a specific class list of a level determined by the character’s level. There is no way to restrict it by a specific school.
Another alternative is to list multiple specific spells in the first field and it will allow the player to choose one of the spells you listed.

Yes. I just made the feat, and started looking at how to add spells.

I really don't want to have to add every single 1st level spell individually.

But you don't have to - it's why the "Spell Level" tab is there - to limit spell levels that you can get from that feat. Issue comes if you want specific schools (so that it works like Shadow Touched or Fey Touched), as there is no school limitation for feats.

Like I said. I inputted the Spell Level tab. It did nothing. No options are presented when I test the feat with characters. I can't even BRING UP the feat on character sheets for some reason.

Going from this image, could you maybe fill in the attack type as well? It's also a filter that allows you to either use only melee or ranged spells (or both) as part of this feat, unless I'm reading it wrong - but it might be the solution.
Edit:
I simply added (Melee/Ranged) on a lv1 list for Wizard spells - so check if this does work on you after adding it.

My Homebrew Spells: Nichuro's Spellcasters Association
If there is, I haven't been able to find it.
on the spells option of the feat list, all that I see that you are allowed to do is:
-First bar: Add a specific spell
-Second bar: Add a specific level of spells
-Third bar: Add a specific class of levels

And this is what I see.

What would I do if I wanted it to follow the rules for those 2 feats
You mean shadow/fey touched? You would have to create three versions of the feat, one for each of the three spellcasting abilities.
