My character has a 1lb ingot of adamantium, but just how metal is this when compared to say a 1lb ingot of steel? I'm trying to figure out what I might be plausibly able to craft with it. I plan to ask my DM, but I want outside opinions before I either shortchange myself or ask for something unreasonable. I figured homebrew and house rules was a good place to ask since this is outside the scope of official documentation.
I imagine Adamantine is similar to Tungsten in terms of density, and therefore weight:volume ratio. Keep in mind that it can be used to make nonmagical weapons or ammo, or it can be used as the Exotic ingredient for making magic armor. There is no nonmagical armor one can make from Adamantine according to the RAW.

1 cubic inch of tungsten is ~0.7 lbs for reference
Assuming you meant adamantine, a 1lb ingot of adamantine is worth 10gp. This is mentioned in Tomb of Annihilation on page 63. So if you look at weapons that are covered in adamantine from Xanathar's Guide to Everything, which costs 500 gp extra, whether it's covered in adamantine or crafted out of it, you can get a baseline from there.

As Sposta has said the best real world analog for Admantine is tungsten. It has a density about the same as gold (19.3 gm/cm3) and not quite 2.5 times that of steel (7.9 gm/cm3) so you would get about the same amount of Admantine as in a pound of gold and about 40% that of a pound of steel. I would suspect this would be why most “Admantine weapons” are coated in Admantine and not made of pure or nearly pure Admantine ( that or they have the small amount of Admantine mixed not the steel as a hardening agent like modern high speed tungsten tool steels) figur a 3 pound steel rapier done in Admantine would weigh 7.2 pounds - not exactly a finesse weapon anymore.

Somewhere between 36-144 GP, the stuff is seriously expensive.
That said, I'd just use the rules in Xanthars for crafting for adamantine, or the dmg adamantine items, to get proper prices.

Probably about half of that 500 is labor cost.
