Just thought I'd share how I've homebrewed the Handy Haversack so that it's still more useful than a Bag of Holding in some situations.
Using the Haversack in combat requires a bonus action, not a standard action, to replace the fact that in 3.5e getting something from the Haversack could replace your move action as opposed to taking your Main Action.
Out of combat, if you can describe the item (even if you've forgotten its official name) the Haversack will produce a set of items that fit your vague description. This is to counteract the fact that the Bag of Holding now will produce any item inside it that you can name.
Just wondering what everyone thinks of this addendum to the stats of the Haversack, which I feel was majorly nerfed in 5e?
I just bought 5E books a couple days ago after years of running 3.5 and this small detail has had me googling for answers for the last hour because it should be the other way around.

Sounds cool to me! The handy haversack should be pretty handy!
I think I'll try using this instead of the Bag of Holding in the future. Thanks!

But... the Bag of Holding is the best! :(

Well the Handy Haversack is usually a lot cheaper than the Bag of Holding and also has the ability that the desired item is on top.
No idea why they decided to make Bags uncommon and Haversacks rare - should be the other way around...
