Where is the "feature" located at? I've enabled everything that asks about spellcasting.
Class features - add a class feature. Name it "spellcasting" or "pact magic" whichever you are wanting.
Do I need PHB for this feature to work?
Usually, I play dnd in person, but sometimes some players need to play using discord and the dnd beyond character sheet. Because my group is a non-English speaker, I homebrew the features that the player needs and translate for them. Now a new player wants to play as an Eldritch Knight, I search how to homebrew the subclass for him and find this forum. I follow your instructions but still not working. Am I doing something wrong or should I just buy the Eldritch Knight individually?
I know that homebrewing official content could sound bad, but we tried playing with the English version and it slowed the game so much by translating all their abilities all the time. And I can't afford to buy the books.
EDIT: I forgot to quote the post in the deleted comment, sorry.
On thing to note, the “Pact Magic” feature currently only works correctly on subclasses for the Blood Hunter, and the “Spellcasting” feature does not work correctly on subclasses for the Blood Hunter.
No, don’t set it to ”half,” that’s not even a thing.
Select a “Spellcasting Ability” and set “Can Cast Spells” to “Yes.” Add either an “Additional Spell List,” or add a select list of spells under “additional specific spells.” Leave both “spell prepare type” and “knows all spells” as blank, those don’t affect subclasses like these at all.

Thanks, sorry for asking, I followed those instructions before hand and it didn't work, turns out it was a spelling mistake so everything is cool now. So again, thank you, I appreciate it.

No, you do not need the PHB:

If you did, I would have made that a step.
You could have just tried it.

How do I add that feature if I don’t have access to those subclasses and don’t know what makes it so they get their spell-casting ability.
I gave detailed instructions including an image in this thread:

Shame really. Maybe there should be a feature to homebrew optional rules for base classes.
I want my prepared casting ranger goddammit!
