I've reviewed James' excellent Design Workshop on Feats and didn't see the answer I was looking for.
I am attempting to create a homebrew feat which grants access to a homebrew familiar – a temple cat based on bastet temple cat from the Tome of Beasts.
However, when I'm in the guts of creating the homebrew feat, and I get to the Create Creature Rule, when I input "temple cat" in the monster field, it tells me "no matches found."
Am I doing something wrong? How do I go about making the feat so the player can select temple cat as a familiar within DNDBeyond?
Here is the text of the feat I wish to add:
Familiar of the Sphinx (feat)
Prerequisite: Warlock, Pact of the Chain
You may select a temple cat as your familiar. At 5th level it gains one Hit Die (3d6+3), again at 11th level (4d6+4), and again at 17th level (5d6+5). Additionally, whenever you cast a spell with a range of "self" and your familiar is within 5 feet of you, it also gains the benefit of the spell.
It is looking for a creature. You must first create that creature as a home brew beast. Then you can make the feat that grants it as a familiar.
Thanks Mog_Dracov. Actually, I already created the homebrew creature. The creature I created & published publicly to DNDBeyond is called a "temple cat". I provided the link to it in my original post. Here is the link again: temple cat.
Here's a snapshot to better illustrate my issue, if I wasn't clear enough before:
Try selecting a creature group first, such as Familiar or Companion first.
I hope this is helpful.
Thanks IamSposta. Yeah, I just tried entering Familiar, then typing in temple cat, and I received the same message: "No matches found."
This is also my first time creating a homebrew monster. Is there some dial or checkbox I need to mark in order to set it as an acceptable familiar within the homebrew monster process on DNDBeyond? I didn't see anything like that when I was doing it.

Is that monster in your “collection” or no? It will only be selectable if it is in your collection. If it is, try logging out and back in.

Yes, it is in my homebrew collection (see attached screenshot). OK, I'll try logging out and back on.
I logged off and logged back in. Then I went to my homebrew collection and looked at the feat. Within the feat description itself, where it should say temple cat (and presumably there'd be a link to that homebrew monster I made?) it instead reads [Tooltip Not Found]. See screenshot below:
Then I go into editing the feat, and I go to the Create Creature Rule option. Once there, I select Rule Type > Choose Monsters, Creature Group > Familiar, and again type "temple cat" as well as "Temple Cat." Neither is recognized. This is what I see:
I'm wondering what on earth I am doing wrong? Is there some dial or checkbox that I've overlooked when creating a homebrew monster to "set" it as a potential familiar?
Or is DNDBeyond just not able to handle this feat?
Tooltips like goblin do not work for homebrew content. There are technical reasons but it mainly comes down to the fact that the homebrew system might have dozens of homebrewed Temple Cats and the system has no idea which one you might mean.
I know it works because I can make a feat and select one of my homebrew creatures for it. So I know it works, I just cannot figure out why it’s not working for you.

Well, you apparently have the “Has Lair” box checked, I can tell because of the generic Lair and Lair Actions description. What you’re going to have to do is “Create new Version” of your temple cat and uncheck that box to eliminate that. And then republish it to overwrite the old one. I don’t know for sure that will fix it, but it’s a good start.
Tip for future, don’t publish anything unless you have playtested and edited them extensively.

I see why you would think that. However, I went back into the temple cat (link again: https://www.dndbeyond.com/monsters/908187-temple-cat) and confirmed that the "Has Lair?" box was unchecked. Here's a snapshot confirming that:
Well there you go. You are officially glitched. You’re gonna have to wait for a moderator on this one. Post a link to the feat too, but don’t publish it. A Moderator will be able to look into it for you anyway.

I did confirm with another team member (as well as testing it myself) and unfortunately the Creatures section doesn't support homebrew monsters. That being said - I'm gonna pass this request to the devs to take a look at and hopefully implement in a future update (though there's no ETA).

GPyromania,
I think you might have unfortunately been misinformed. The glitch that prevented Homebrew Creatures under Extras was patched a week ago.

OK, will do. Here is the feat in my collection (not shared with community yet, obviously): https://www.dndbeyond.com/feats/322726-familiar-of-the-sphinx
