Without looking up, "Can't help ya. Been commissioned to make and repair weapons and armor for the upcoming skirmishes with the gobbos."
Taking a spell to rest swinging the hammer and dip the heated iron he finally glances in your direction as the steam parts. Kronk has a few scars on his face, the most notable of which happens to pinch his lower lip a little. Ironically, even though he is a half-orc this manages to improve his overall appearance instead of detract from it.
Seeing you for the first time, "Oh, you lot adventurers? I can always make time for good coin." He leaves the half finished sword to cool and extends his hand, "Now what was that you said, Tiger swords, not sure I remember what those are, it's been so long since I've done custom work. Can you jog my memory a little?"

"A rightful place awaits you in the Realms Above, in the Land of the Great Light. Come in peace, and live beneath the sun again, where trees and flowers grow."
— The message of Eilistraee to all decent drow.
"Run thy sword across my chains, Silver Lady, that I may join your dance.”
The only commotion in the pub, if you can call it a commotion, is a varied group of participants and spectators around a table near the far left corner. They occasionally let out little groans of disappointment or cheers of excitement.
One of the barmaids stops at your table and asks if there's anything else she can get you. Several people leave. A halfling enters and makes his way to the table where the 'commotion' is taking place and greets some of the people there by name. The barkeep wipes some tankards with a clean cloth and adjusts various bottles behind the counter.
Petcan gestures towards the halfling when the barmaid inquires.
“Could you tell me who that is, and what the little fuss was about?”
"Oh, that's just Rolo. He drops in from time to time to play a few rounds of 'Doubles' with the regulars. It's quite popular and easy enough to play. There's an ante to join and each takes a roll of the dice in turn, if you roll doubles on the dice you win that many coins from the pot, if not you add what you rolled to the pot. You can join or quit the game as you like, but once you add your coins to the pot they are considered lost unless you can roll doubles and win some back."

I am part of the cult of Jerry, fear Jerry, love Jerry, be Jerry, we are Jerry. I'm really sorry that I haven't been able to Dm recently. I owe everyone a lot of apologies . I'm really sorry. I would like to start a new campaign. Message me for questions.
No worries, you're just excited and want to play really badly, I get like that sometimes. You have to be check the PbP Forum each day to see if there are any new games that are recruiting. Many of the private or closed ones will not accept new players in the middle of a campaign. Be patient and you will find games sooner or later.

Rolo passes you the dice, a pair of white 6 sided knucklebones with black pips on each surface.
"New roller! New roller coming through! I call beginner's luck, any takers."
Apparently this halfling is a real wheeler-dealer and is hoping to drum up some side bets. Only one patron, a white-bearded grandpa takes him up on it and they make a 2 silver side bet just between themselves.
(Roll 2d6 when you're ready, and you can describe any other thing you say or do in your post... for luck and such things.)

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Randall:
“We don’t have a lot of coin to spread around, but we do have these other pieces of Hooked Horror carapace that could be used to make some fine armor…Perhaps a trade would be in order to finance the making of these exceptional swords?” suggests Randall.

"Sorry, don't accept trades! Bad for business and all, although lately business has been good, it's also been boring as f... ah, um sorry Brother Cleric, I meant no disrespect to the gods." He wipes his hands on his apron and then makes a religious sign to ward off the displeasure of the gods.
"Tell you what, it's only a matter of time before adventurers find themselves with gold... and it's going to take me a while to craft these into good weapons." He squints an eye at you, Ceo, before continuing, "You do want good weapons don't you." He doesn't wait for your answer but bulls on with his diatribe. "Let's say when you finish some epic quest or grand adventure, whatever you adventurers do, you return and square up with me. It will be a good break for me from having to churn out the same old stuff all the time."
Turning back to Randall, "As for these other pieces..." he picks one of them up to examine it more closely, "from the same monster unless I miss my guess. Hmmm... I could make a nice suit of armor out of this lot, if you're interested?" Kronk gestures to the pile of carapace pieces.

”Most definitely, good armorsmith,” replies Brother Randall, “the strongest armor you can make. How much coin would I need to return with to be able to take possession of Hooked Horror Plate Armor?”

"Well... I know that it saves time not having to forge the pieces from raw materials so that would lessen the overall cost." Realizing he may be talking himself out of a potential profits he quickly adds, "but it's an exotic item isn't it, and not everyone will be able to craft them into armor."
He puts the piece he was handling back down near the others, "What say we settle on the final price when you see the finished product? There's a small chance some pieces might get ruined unless I take special care with them. It's not like working with metals where you can simply reheat them and start over. I'm only going to have one try at it, one attempt to get it right. The final price will still be less than paying for regular plate so you needn't worry about getting gouged like over at Brutwert's. I honestly don't know how he manages to stay in business."
"So what do you think? We have an accord?"

Petcan scratches his chin and shrugs. “I have enough money to lose a gold piece and not starve, yet.”
He gets up to go join the game, putting down a gold piece. “Doubles?”

“Double, doubles! Gods of luck! Help me roll well! Please don’t suck!”
