Mynash reaches into his robes and produces several parchments, they contain your contracts and legal documents, and such as will be needed to proceed. Unfortunately they still couldn't get permission for the refugees to enter Laurentiis but arrangements are made to move a little south of the city's coastline and ferry them aboard the ships with the lifeboats.
Mynash also wants to take you shopping, he refers to it as investing in his investment, and you are able to add supplies from the PHB. (Just check with me if you're not sure if something is allowed or not.) This little trip ends with a visit to Mynash's Magical Menagerie, "Ah yes, forgive me my little vanities but this will supply a variety of odd magical items that could prove useful."
(You can each write in your post how you find your magical item in this magic shop, help to flesh it out and bring it alive in different ways, but you each get to choose 1 item from the common or uncommon magical item lists. This is in addition to any regular equipment you might want to restock on.)

As much as he dearly wished to go back to the armorsmith and get some fine plate armor for the trip, Randall refrained from asking, as that armor is exceedingly expensive--and a set was already being made out of the Hook Horror carapace for him anyway. Instead he contented himself with loading down his backpack with food and water to have extra in store for the coming journey.
When they reached Mynash's Magical Menagerie, Randall was immediately drawn to a long, thin foot-locker secured against one of the far walls of the shop. Opening the lid, he saw all manner of blunt objects--some for use in combat, others for cooking or sailing, and still others for unknown purposes. Still, he found himself reaching deeply into the chest and pulling out a tarnished mace, its head a sickly green. Holding it in his hand, Randall felt a surge of holy power as the tarnish fell from the brass sunburst crowning the weapon in a shower of sparks, and the soft glow of the holy weapon filled the remote corner of the magic shop.
"Whoa," he said simply, holding up the mace, now revealed to be Lightbringer. "This will do."

Bow finishes the best dinner he had in a long long time, if not ever. He thanks Mynash for the food.
After which they move through town looking for equipment. Walking in and out of various shops; at a market stall he picks up some extra rations; than at a woodcarver he buys some nicely carved crossbow bolts. Next he ventures into a smith's where he gets a Rapier and shield; hoping he doesn't need the rapier; but who knows maybe, somewhere, there exists a hand crossbow that doesn't need a hand to load; if only, one can dream, right...? Finally he walks past a shop where he sees fishing equipment, and as they are moving to an island he gets some stuff there as well; a 2nd rope, always handy, a fishing tackle.
Until the arrive at Mynahs's Magical Menagerie; here he has a hard time with all these beautiful items that are so useful. Should he go for that beautifully carved hand crossbow that should give him better aim (hand crossbow+1), or maybe that hand crossbow next to it that says the person that has it cannot be surprised; he remembers those hobgoblins that surprised them before, wasnt good. Although those armors look magnificent as well; he doesn't get how but that armor that lets him swim better sounds pretty useful when moving to an island, or that cloak that gives some extra protection, or the cloak that seems to blend in with the environments; and what about the stone that gives you some better luck.
Oh what to choose what to choose....
