Osmord pops up to release two ghostly silver hands toward the shaman and a nearby wounded orc. He drops down prone again as chill touch makes contact with the enemy.
Belkas calls down, "Vernon! A half score of the Orcs is heading south. They may try to swim and climb up to the bridge. Do you want to go with the soldiers and make sure that doesn't happen?"
Belkas throws an Eldritch Blast at the Shaman. --- To hit: 10 Damage: 5
Both Arisa and Osmord score two more hits with their spells before the both groups move out of range. The javelin group keeps moving backwards, including the one eye. Fortunately, this means that he moves out of range to attack you with his magical spear, and the weapon disappears.
The other group keeps heading south, moving behind the southwest corner of the village proper. They stop in the area that's west of the keep, and after a few minutes of looking around, two of them jump into the moat and begin swimming towards the bridge.
Meanwhile, accompanied by Vernon, the four guards hurry across the village as they too make their way for the bridge between the village and the keep.
Outside of the palisade, Xolkin's horsemen continue to harass the orcs with their crossbows, however the orcs seem to do a very good job of defending themselves against these attacks.
Arisa says” we should head to the keep to defend there, maybe we can get some shots on any Orcs trying to swim or climb up to our makeshift bridge.” Looking over at the north tower at Xolkin and the woman, She says quietly.” I don’t trust leaving him at the gate- if the Orcs retreat, he will let his friends in and we are in no position to defend against them. Maybe Zyllyth should keep an eye on them?”
Zyllith has no choice but to remain hidden still, keeping a secret watch on their criminal friends, but she tries to keep an eye out in the direction of Vernon and the guards in case they need her help with the orcs.
Arisa, in pain from a javelin stab wound, climbs down the ladder and starts toward the southwest corner of the village. - keeping an eye on those in the north tower as she goes. She will see if she can get in 120’ range of the swimming Orcs when she is near the repaired bridge.
"Osmord. Do you have spells that would reach the Orc leader or One-Eye? I think if we could finish them off, the others might leave."
Belkas thinks a little and then, using Minor Illusion, creates a five foot tall image on the side of the tower of the Orc leader's head on the body of a chicken.
He calls out in Orcish, "The Orc Chiefs I knew were worthy of respect. I never saw one hide behind his warriors, trembling out of fear. I am surprised the rest of you follow this worm. A wise leader would have led you on to another place for greater glory and loot. A brave leader wouldn't hide behind you and cry like an elf while his warriors needlessly die. There is no glory in this."
The orcs seem to ignore Belkas’s attempts to persuade them towards a different course of action. Meanwhile, Xolkin’s riders keep peppering them with crossbow bolts, and they manage to kill another two of the orcs that are surrounding the chief and injuring another. The one eye responds by turning his spiritual spear on them, killing one of the riders.
The two orcs continue swimming across the moat, and finally come within range for spell and ranged attacks.
Vernon will take up position at the foot of the bridge. To the guards when they arrive: "If these orcs are any good at climbing, we'll need someone on the other side of the break to knock them down again. Until they commit to that approach, I will remain mounted in striking position."
Arisa's fire bolt slams into one of the swimming orcs, causing a brief puff of flame and smoke on the creature's back. Still, the two keep coming, and you suddenly notice that the rest of them (8 more) leap into the water as well, seeing the slow, but steady progress that their companions have made across the moat. The guards continue to hold at the bridge as well, with spears at the ready for when they arrive.
(Anyone at the bridge can get in two more attacks, three total, before the orcs get close enough that Arisa will shift and use her Shape Water spell.)
From the bridge, you can no longer see the other group of orcs.
Arisa fires twice more- focusing on the same orc, unless he goes down, then she will shift to the other leader.
First bolt: 23 to hit, 8 points of fire damage
second bolt: 19 to hit, 8 points of fire damage
Then she will get set up to do her shape water ice trick, wherever they are tryng to climb.
Once her ice slick is up, she will shift back to fire bolting any that are trying to climb up the Icey wall. If they move to another location, she will ice that wall too.
Arisa manages to kill one of the swimming orcs. Her three fire bolts slam into the creature, and the combination of fire damage an sheer exhaustion from trying to fight the pain and stay afloat proves to be too much for the orc. It flails about briefly before sinking below the surface.
Anyone else want to take their two additional attacks on the orc that's swimming closer?

Vernon perks up. "I will go guard the bridge. They shall not pass!" He will ride for the bridge, not waiting for the guards.
Belkas calls out to the guards, "Follow Vernon. Make sure no orcs climb up to the bridge."
Osmord considers the situation.
”Why do these Orcs stay, if they can not pass the gate? Perhaps to distract? I could remain here, hidden from their fire. Worm could watch them all?”

Osmord sends worm up high over head to take a look at what the other orc group is doing and relays the information to the others.

Belkas, let’s have a Persuasion or Intimidation roll.
Persuasion : 13

Arisa will start peppering the leading orc swimmer (or the closer one to her, if they swim at the same speed) with fire bolts.
21 to hit, 4 points of damage on one of them.
if she can, she will move to within 30 Feet of where they will be clinbing up, and will use Shape water there to make a nice slick surface of ice...

(Can the guards grab some more javelins from the keep or something? )
