(@Lerus: Regarding Doozey trying to be comforting.... eehhh... in his own way, sure.)
Doozey shudders at the fear and revulsion washes over him. However, between having the iron stomach of a dwarf and halfling bravery, such feelings are soon shed and shrugged off. After drawing forth Apostle, there's but a moment's hesitation registering some of the changes in Neya. But Doozey's attention snaps back to the ghost, and with a snarled "Cover the pup, Biscuit!", he rushed past the forest of legs to get right up in the ghost's grill.
The runes of his blade begin to glow red as smidgen of life force is consumed in exchange for electricity to start coursing up and down the blade. Despite the familiar pain in the transfer, Doozey unflinching begins hacking away at the ghost limbs. At some point during the rush, Biscuit reaches his destination, and turns on the ghost with hackles raised and teeth bared in defiance.
(@Ori: The ghost is at {AJ-30} so I am placing Doozey at {AK-30} instead.)
Doozey is the first to snap into action upon seeing Neya's forced transformation. He commands Biscuit to stand protectively near Cassyt and moves to engage the ghostly lady in melee combat. As he moves, the hunter lets some of his own blood fill Apostle's runes. (Doozey takes 1 damage.)
The magical blade cuts the ghost as if she was made of flesh and bone. She shrieks in pain after each slash. Doozey finds the cuts themselves to be more harmful to the ghost than the lightning sparks that follow each attack. (Ghost takes 20 magical slashing and lightning damage.)
Despite the sudden change, Neya reverts to her training to regain control of the situation. First, she calms her own spirit. Then, she assumes a defensive fighting position to avoid any more surprises.
The assault on one of his companions is too much for Graxx. He snaps into a rage and joins Doozey in attacking the ghost from close-quarters. The initial pike thrust is fueled by a radiant energy that blasts most of the ghosts ethereal essence away. The second rends the spirit from the Material Plane. (Ghost takes 65 magical piercing and radiant damage and is DEFEATED.)
Utar begins the motions of casting a spell to assist in banishing this spirit but quickly realizes that there is nothing left for him to launch a bolt at. (@MB: You may keep your spell slot.)
Showing her true colors was clearly not the best course of action for this ghost, but Neya's plan to force an error worked like a charm. Unfortunately, Neya age does not revert back with the expiration of the ghost.
WE ARE NOW OUT OF INITIATIVE. YOU MAY DO AS YOU WILL.
Graxx’s rage subsides as his stops gritting his teeth. Seeing the ghost perish he does a quick look around. Not seeing an immediate threat he drops his Pike to the ground making Neya his priority over the obelisk.
Graxx runs over to Neya and begins patting her down looking for any wounds.
”Neya! Are you okay? The ghost is dead why aren’t you turning back to the way you were before?! Are you in pain?”
Following up on Graxx's concern, Utar considers whether there is any ceremony which might return Neya's youth which the ghost has stripped away. His pauldron glows faintly as he calls on Torm to aid him.
Doozey continued to stare daggers at the place the spook had once been, making sure not a trace remained or hints of it just slipping away again were missed in its apparent fall. Eventually however, Graxx and Biscuit(who broke rank to join the former)'s worrying drew his attention back to Neya. "Hn... I'm starting to think where the saying 'scared half to deaf' came from. Bloody spook." He commented, though the curse to follow was more lowly spoken.
"Cassyt. Focus up. Time to put your learnings to proper work. I think I have an idea on what happened, but... ya wouldn't be knowing more, would'ja." Doozey asked of her, but would nevertheless, lose focus on the present after for a few moments trying to recall his own training regarding the powers of spectral undead and how best to deal with them.
(Hunter's Bane granting adv. on all Int Checks to recall details on Undead, Fey, Fiends)
Though regardless of what comes to mind, he waits before divulging anything; as he preferred more to let Cassyt shine, as well as help take her mind off the recent horror just witnessed. Plus, it could be a good teaching moment!
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Other than what is obvious, I don't feel any worse for wear. But just to make sure..." Neya replies to Graxx, moving her limbs around assessing if anything had changed in terms of her joint health.
With the battle finished almost before it even started, CRAP's focus immediately shifts towards Neya's new appearance. Doozey even tries to involve young Cassyt in the analysis, but the acolyte is still, at least for now, taken aback by the emotional waterfall she just went through. She just shakes her head from side to side in response to Doozey's question.
@Graxx: You look at Neya and realize that she has become probably as old as your grandma Edith, if not older. You begin to worry that your friend's hip may start aching at any moment now and that she might need a place to lay down soon. (OOC: Just to be clear, with that low medicine check, Graxx is completely overestimating how old Neya has become.)
@Utar: You are familiar with certain undead's ability to speed the aging process of the living, but only because you heard a passing tale once or twice in your life. You wish you had payed closer attention to them back then but, at this moment, you do not recall any useful tidbits about ceremonies or anything else that might be helpful.
@Neya: You are just as limber and athletic as ever. You are a healthy 57-year-old version of yourself and don't feel any slower or less capable. The first risk you recognize here is that, suddenly, you are much closer to retirement age than you had expected. The second is that the change does not feel alien to you. It simply feels like your body, which makes you a bit nervous. If it doesn't feel strange, there is a good chance that this sudden turn could become permanent. You gather that your best bet is to deal with it sooner rather than later if you'd like to regain your youth. In your mind, you give yourself no more than a day to try to revert this effect, if you so wish.
@Doozey: Thinking about the arcane, you fail to come across a sure-fire remedy for this situation. That said, you have seen some powerful divine magic achieving wonders, and in a way, all magic is still just magic, right? Anyway, you are pretty knowledgeable about the undead and decide to discuss a hunch you have with Utar for a moment. After some more thought, you think that some higher divine magic could cancel the sudden aging effect. Remembering the menu of available rituals at the Temple of the Hand, you think your best bet would be to ask them to perform a Greater Restoration ritual on Neya for a mere 450gp. (OOC: I'm flexibly interpreting your roll as a hybrid arcana/religion check.)
While Biscuit is torn between wandering back and forth between Neya and Cassyt, whimpering in worry, Doozey just shook his head in disappointment at Cassyt, prior to then focusing on Neya once more. And following his pow-wow with Utar, Doozey has this to say. "So, good news is, we can fix this back at the Temple of the Hand, assuming the rest of ya have the coin for it. Its no small amount mind you, at least as far as I'm concern. But far less costly then had any of us kicked the bucket... again." Doozey explained calmly before looking up to Neya.
"But, how you feeling Neya? Think you can keep going. The sooner we've dealt with this undead threat brewing, the sooner we can get back to the surface."

"Although I will say that reaching this age is more than few years too early for my liking..."
Biscuit perked up considerably at Neya's assurance, and happily wagged his tail. But, since she still looked old and even perhaps smelled it too, he had at least the presence of mind not to jump up onto his hindlegs and start licking her face. As Biscuits squirms in his seat divided of wants, Doozey squinted up at Neya. Yet with Graxx' comments, he sighs and walked over to study the obelisk.
Or so he would, but out of some respect for Graxx' religion, he stopped short of touching it, and instead used another charge of the Wand of Secrets to at least confirm there being no secret doors in range of it.

Neya reassures the group that she feels as healthy as ever, putting some of Graxx's, Doozey's, and Biscuit's concerns to bed, at least for now.
Once they feel the matter has been clarified as best as it can be at the moment, Utar offers a new topic for CRAP to focus on. Graxx picks up on it and moves closer to the obelisk, as does Doozey. The barbarian has never heard of obelisks being dedicated to Tempus but the shape of the structure roughly reminds Graxx of a great blade. He can see how such a structure could easily be associated with Tempus and gain his favor. Graxx and the rest of the group also notice that all four faces of the obelisk are covered in strange script. No CRAPer can understand the words that the symbols form, but they could perhaps deduce what language it is based on the ones they know and perhaps a few minutes of studying it (please roll a history check {DC 15} if interested.)
Out of respect, Doozey lets Graxx examine the obelisk first. In the meantime, he looks around the walls of this semi-circular chamber. They are lined with nearly a hundred loculi, each containing the bones of one or more deceased residents of Phlan. The stoutling has an idea and charges up his Wand of Secrets. There are no indications of secret doors or storage compartments in this room but the wand reveals that a few of these loculi don't seem as inaccessible as they might seem at first glance. Having interacted plenty with Cassyt, however, Doozey is pretty sure he'd earn the acolyte's ire if he was to start poking into these loculi.
Utar sidles up to Graxx, patting the barbarian's shoulder and passing him a small measure of divine aid in figuring out the languages on the obelisk. He then peers closely at the writing offering whatever additional help he can from his knowledge of Draconic and Orcish.
