He looks at the message and reads aloud, "To Jimena. We have the Machine. In Kalazart now. Bright has found something in the Fireweave Bazaar. We leave tomorrow for Eston, will send message from there so you can prepare our passage home. Alain."
Sir Glint looks up at Sir Jimena and the others. "This is dated from the day before the Mourning. It's obviously from Sir Alain. So I think we should go to Kalazart. But what's this about the Machine? Do you know what that means Sir Jimena?"
Jimena eagerly listens to the message that has been immediately decoded by Sir Glint, she will request him to repeat the message so that she's certain about the locations mentioned in the parchment. She takes a mental note of the locations- Kalazart, Fireweave Bazaar and Eston while adding a final location to the list by scribing it on the parchment and drawing a circle around it for emphasis: 'Thrane'.
"Oracle of War, it's some kind of device which might be a metaphor for something else, or if we take the literal meaning into account then it's simply a machine with physical existence. I think that Sir Alain is referring to the device as a 'machine'."
Sir Glint removes a map from within his coat pocket. He spreads it on the counter so everyone can see it. "We landed here," he says, pointing to where the red star is. "They sent this message from Kalazart down here and were going to head to Eston here." He says, drawing a circle with his finger around each of the cities named. "This message is dated on the day of the Mourning. Even if the gnomes waited until the end of the day to send the message, Sir Alain and the others wouldn't have had enough time to get to Eston, and they never sent a follow up message from there anyway. My guess, is they're either still in Kalazart or somewhere nearby on the way to Eston."
"I agree with Sir Glint, there's a possibility of finding the party... or their remnant near Eston"- Jimena taps on the map to draw the attention of the fellow knights. In fact, she believes that their next destination should be the area marked as 'Eston'.
Sir Glint nods looking at Sirs Omen and Jimena. "Let's gather the others and head out. I don't think there's anything else we can glean here. Unless you think different?"
"Sir Glint!"-Jimena exclaims suddenly, but goes silent when she finds everyone staring at her. She's been successfully attempting to recover from the trauma of recent accidents while trying to remain more confident regarding her physical condition. She doesn't want to be judgemental though she can not help being self-conscious most of the time. Everything is going to be alright. I'm lucky enough to be alive, and the almighty creator deserves my gratitude.
"I don't mean to dishonor you by interrupting. Trust me, Sir. What concerns me is the possible distance between our current position and Eston, it would take us days to go there. We must afford a vehicle and retainers!"
Sir Glint gives a small dismissive sneer. "I don't know if you've noticed Sir Jimena, but we are in a wasteland. There are no vehicles and no retainers, only ourselves." He tries to control himself, "We cannot send to Thrane for help, there is no time. You wouldn't know, as we only learned of it just before we came into the Mournland, but there are Karrnathi death knights who are after whatever Sir Alain and his party were retrieving here. Likely this 'Machine' you've noted. Whatever it is, if they want it, we can't let them get it."
Jimena fumbles with her weapon and shield while attempting to ponder about the seriousness of the situation. She's taken aback by the idea of confronting a group of opposing knights when at the same time trying to locate the machine. She shifts her weight from one leg to another so that she can get a good grip on the Warhammer.... her lithe frame gracefully welcoming the sudden addition of weight.
"Then lead the way, Sir Glint! I'm prepared to take any kind of risk."
Sir Glint looks at the gathered knights and nods, "Well, nothing to gain from standing around then. We can take the roads, which will get us there faster, but it's likely more dangerous. What say you?"
Jimena holds her shield in a defensive position to maximize the security of the leader. She's currently situated at the frontal row, just beside or in front of Sir Glint so that she can absorb as much damage as possible from face-to-face combat. She trusts the intuitions of her allies and believes that Sir Omen will guard her back during battle.
"Agreed, there must be a reason behind the opportunity of extended existence. I wish to devote myself for the restoration of greater good."
The party sets out from Cape Verde. Just a hundred feet away from the resort town and the mists swallow them. The mists seem to drain all the color out of the world and muffle all sounds. It feels as though eyes are always watching them, though there's no real evidence of this.
Along the road they can at least know they're heading in the right direction, unless the Mourning changed the roads the way it changed everything else.
Time also seems to be muffled, and it's hard to know if you have traveled for an hour or 10.

"Who... who's there?"
Jimena will speak with a suppressed tone when she imagines something moving or following the group. She will unsheath the Moon-touched Sword which sheds bright light within 15-foot radius and illuminates additional area with dim-light. She finds the mist fascinating and attempts to gauge the condition of her surrounding. "Excuse me, Sir! It seems like the area is heavily obscured."
As the party continues, Sir Jimena's moon-touched sword seems to illuminate the fog in a bubble around her, causing her difficulty in seeing very far. However, Sir Omen spots a pair of wagon tracks leading off the road into the dirt to the southwest of the road.
Just as he notices that, Sir Glint yells in anger and surprise as a vine-like tentacle wraps around his foot and pulls him off the road in the opposite direction as the wagon tracks. He is quickly out of sight of the others with the fog obscuring anything beyond 30 feet of visibility, but they can hear him swearing in the eerie silence.

As you follow Sir Glint's yells, you come in sight of what looks like a massive mound of vegetation that is holding Sir Glint up in a large vine-tentacle. As you watch, the thing opens a monstrous mouth preparing to swallow Sir Glint whole.
Please roll initiative, and Nature checks (if you wish to find out more about the monster).
