Then she realizes there is another small mistery here and mutters to himself: "Wait a moment! An inn's kitchen... and no cabbages? How it is possible?" then, after pondering the question by herself "The goblins must have been eaten them all already! Damned pillagers..."

Kan sounds off dryly. “Oh no, a kitchen with self respect, how could they…” 

He continues to follow the others, close enough to try to leave someone else to watch the back. 

Kramyra chuckles under her breath from Kan's comment and as the others head off up the stairs, she takes another brief look around and brings up the rear.

Ev’alish peeks into the first door on the left.

Khessa follows the silver dragonborn, ready for fighting... or for searching

While the other two start on the first door on the left, Kramyra opens the first door on the right.

Kramyra steps into the room and goes to check out the desk and table.

Khessa checks tapestry and chest in her room. Investigation (if needed): 18

If chest is locked she tries to open it with the crowbar she has in her backpack.

Strength check (if needed): 9

As far as locked chest is concerned, Khessa rolled strength check to open with crowbar. No way? (Roll was a 15)

Giving a small pat on the shoulder to Khessa, Ev'alish motions to the door. "This chest doth likely contain a cache of the villager's possessions. Let us move on towards the next door."

He moves to the second door on the left.

Khessa comments: "Villager's possessions... in a room of the village's tavern? Does not seems likely to me... And locked solid as this is, it must hide something important. Maybe someone has a better strategy to open it? Or shall we simply try again later with the crowbar?"

(While she awaits answers from the party, Khessa summons her strength again and gives another try: 15)

Then she puts the crowbar away, redies her blade again and follows Ev'alish. Khessa does not want to leave him wander alone, in a place where someone who took down a goblin with a single crossbow hit can hide.

He shrugs. "Mayhaps it was a guest of the tavern, or the owner."

Kan holds up his fingers and waffles them. “I’m no burglar or anything, but I do enjoy some light… um… activity. Allow me to see if I can open that up for you.”  

He tries to open the chest Thieves’ tools 18 

Khessa turns her head to Kan for a moment, smiling in gratitude: "Thanks Kan! I'm literally dying of curiosity to find out what that chest contains. It's nice to have a resourceful guy like you around".

Then she turns her attention back on Ev'alish and the new door.
