Kramyra chuckles under her breath from Kan's comment and as the others head off up the stairs, she takes another brief look around and brings up the rear.
Giving a small pat on the shoulder to Khessa, Ev'alish motions to the door. "This chest doth likely contain a cache of the villager's possessions. Let us move on towards the next door."
Khessa comments: "Villager's possessions... in a room of the village's tavern? Does not seems likely to me... And locked solid as this is, it must hide something important. Maybe someone has a better strategy to open it? Or shall we simply try again later with the crowbar?"
(While she awaits answers from the party, Khessa summons her strength again and gives another try: 15)
Then she puts the crowbar away, redies her blade again and follows Ev'alish. Khessa does not want to leave him wander alone, in a place where someone who took down a goblin with a single crossbow hit can hide.

Kan holds up his fingers and waffles them. “I’m no burglar or anything, but I do enjoy some light… um… activity. Allow me to see if I can open that up for you.”
Khessa turns her head to Kan for a moment, smiling in gratitude: "Thanks Kan! I'm literally dying of curiosity to find out what that chest contains. It's nice to have a resourceful guy like you around".
Then she turns her attention back on Ev'alish and the new door.

He continues to follow the others, close enough to try to leave someone else to watch the back.
