Bones, feeling as though he has neglected his training and years of experience, goes from person to person checking in on them to ensure they are healthy and comfortable before turning in. He also asks, politely, to check everyone for early signs of infection. Which, at the moment, he only knows to be marked by trace lines of blue in the veins. Once completed, and assuming no infection, he will sit for a small amount of time and enter into his journal all that he had learned that day, then pray, then retire for the night.
Cade wolfs down as big a breakfast as he can find, puts on his sword, armor and fur coat and heads out. “Let’s see to the cave. I ain’t convinced we need to fight though. Maybe thems will listen to reason. Or the doc.” Cade smiles.
The Gnome eats heartily, then does another check on his companions. (( If he notices even the slightest change in their condition he will alert them immediately. )) Once done, he follows to the caves.
As you all approach Croaker Cave, you can see just a short ways into the cave, where the slow dripping of water sounds out where it falls from stalactites down into a murky pool that fills the rough tunnel ahead. Every few moments, a loud croaking sounds out from somewhere in the darkness beyond.
Cade stops and lifts his hand to signal the others to do the same. “That doesn’t sound like no bandit I’ve ever heard of.”
He turns to his companions. “I don’t know what that is. But them bandits, their leader needs our help. I suggest we offer that before we attack em. What do ya all think?”
“I’d be surprised if they are still alive but maybe we should help them. Although let’s not try to be friends with them or anything. They are bandits, they kill people. We have to punish them one way or another.”
" GIant Frogs? But not the kind I know of if they're living in such cold conditions. Be careful.....perhaps the bad guys are using them as guard dogs?"
Gellwin is able to easily see in the dark but waits on the others decisions as to who should lead.
Petros finds a bed and also sleeps

(Great! Everyone take your long rest, and when you're ready, the next day is yours!)
Petros puts on his armor and hoists his backpack. He groggily says to the group, “What shall we do? Attack the cave today or wait until sunset?”
Gellwin bundled himself up and headed out into the cold towards the caves.
“Um, I guess we’re going now then?” Petros says confused, and then follows Gellwin.
"By all the Gods, even the forgotten ones, we need to eat breakfast!"
Cade wolfs down as big a breakfast as he can find, puts on his sword, armor and fur coat and heads out.
“Let’s see to the cave. I ain’t convinced we need to fight though. Maybe thems will listen to reason. Or the doc.” Cade smiles.

(There are no symptoms of the illness on anyone currently)

Gellwin tried to identify the strange sounds: Nature 20
"One good turn deserves another - if we help them, they may return the favor. Considering the stakes at hand, we can use all the help we can get."
(The sounds are easy enough to recognize as giant frogs)
(Anyone have darkvision?)
" GIant Frogs? But not the kind I know of if they're living in such cold conditions. Be careful.....perhaps the bad guys are using them as guard dogs?"
Gellwin is able to easily see in the dark but waits on the others decisions as to who should lead.
Petros also has darkvision
Cade lights a torch and lines up to enter the cave behind the companions with darkvision.
(( Oh, just because Gnomes have darkvision does not make them eager to venture first! ))
