Eventhough Justin is in the way the Eldritch Blast hits. The Thug looks really rough!
" Help me!" He shouts.
Kreese (bandit 2) is taken aback. "What is the new guy doing? I need to help the boss!" Kreese runs to Justin and hopes to strike him with his sciminar (and give his boss advantage next turn).
OOC: And editing the post has made the weird message I saw go away, strange! Ignore that second attack roll.
OOC: Yes, simply editing a post with this message is the best remedy, afaik. Usually it already suffices to add an empty space or a single dot at the end of the message. After the edit the dice typically roll normal. No idea what is causing this, though.

Sorry, I'm beginning to enter a vacation period and while I will try to check-in at least daily, I cannot promise that I will always be able to do so. From September 1, I should be back to normal.

Ducking under a bolt aimed at him, Rizo mutters some nasal sound towards Lan and adds, “You’ll be next, don’t you worry!” With this he turns his attention to Kreese and his boss and begins to shape a small fire ball with one of his hands, while he walks until he’s behind Justin. “Catch this! “ he calls out to the bandits and he lobs the fiery ball behind them, at around some 10 feet distance SE to the boss and Kreese. At the spot a fiery explosion shapes into a wild boar. “Bruce! Take them down!” Rizo shouts encouragingly.
action: summon wildfire spirit 7 fire damage unless DC 14 DEX save. bonus action: Bruce shoots at the nearest standing foe, preferring the boss.

Robert (Thug) manages to avoid most of the fire, but Kreese does not. Both Robert and Kreese are at death's doorstep now, so Robert is glad that he can avoid the Flame Seed.
"Time to turn this around!" He thinks.
Robert drops his heavy crossbow and uses his multi attack against Justin:
Seeing Lan raise his hands in surrender, Lilgrea uses her action to dash over to him, shouting at him to get on the ground. I think she can just make it over to him, in which case she’d likely be in the square to his right.
On the way, she grabs the rope hanging from her backpack, getting ready to tie him up on her next turn. Perhaps she can prevent at least one pointless death today.

First Rizo casts Cure Wounds on Justin to heal 9 HP, “You’re taking a lot of beating for us. I’m feeling sorry for you but I thank you for it.” Then, he goes over to Lan, “I don’t know what drove you to way laying but don’t you think it would be safer to take up some job in Dolsela? I know for a fact that a lot of adventurers arrived recently and your line of business is going to be a much more painful one than it used to be.”

Thank you, thank you! I didn't know what I was getting into! I met Robert at a tavern. He told me he could use someone like me. This was my first job! I swear I didn't know they were bandits! I-I can help you guys! Om good with a my crossbow!
Lan seems honest. If the party accepts he'll join ass a NPC (I'll pm that stats I rolled). OOC I'm starting to agree that things are too easy for us.
Minty, roll a d20 if you still want that heavy crossbow.
Egan crouches in front of Lan and studies his face, eyes narrowed. Then he stands and says to the others, "I think the kid's being honest. He could have attacked us, helped those other two. I say we give him a break."
Corvina flaps her wings restlessly on Egan's shoulder before squawking, "Give him a break!"

I'd say we're out of combat right now. Lan gets on the ground and just hopes to walk away alive. What are we doing with him?
