Gisusz (G1) is amazed how poorly these fiery beast and that weird clumsy elephant searches the woods. He's in hiding right next to them, listening their heavy breathing. Under cover of a dense thorny thicket he moves away south. At 5 feet distance he shoots his bow at the elephant, thinking that these horns protruding from its face would make a wonderful trophy. This would certainly proof to the rest of the tribe what a great hunter he is. Then he hides again and moves 10 feet more (moved 15 feet South in total).
Attack: 21 Damage: 5
Hide: 7
The arrow strikes Rizo at the chest but misses any vitals. A few impolite words escaped Gisusz, "[goblin gibberish]", and a bit too loud. He knows immediately that he wasn't hiding very well.
If there is still a goblin standing (which I believe would be goblin 1), Minty would take careful aim and shoot another arrow (assuming 3/4 cover). Attack: 18 Damage: 13
A moment of silence when the party listens for more goblins jumping out of the many shadows, it becomes clear that they are alone for now and can try to have a short rest.
(Anyone can now search the goblins to find 100GP for the party. There is also a treasure roll to be made, I think we can have 5 minimum rolls in total so that everyone gets at least one (3 threats + 1d4 threats + 1 threat more in case we roll a 1 on the 1d4). If you wish, it would make role-playing sense to find treasure along the way instead of at the end because our quest is looking for herbs and not a treasure trove. My suggestion would be that the first one to roll can get their treasure at this point, the others get it with the following threats as they appear. But if you prefer we can also simply all roll at the end of the adventure as usual.)
65 minutes pass. Rizo uses the time to cast Cure Wounds on Justin and heals 12 HP and takes advantage of the short rest.
@Justin will you guide us through the next threat or do you prefer to pass duty on to the next player?
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
I'll handle the next threat. Tomorrow morning CET time I'm gonna roll for the threat. Just post what you want to do in those 65 minutes. It's long enough for a short rest if you want to. (Justin isn't going to bother with it since he's already fully healed by Rizo)
Well done friends! All I was good for was catching arrows! I'm going to look for those Javalins. Maybe I can retrieve one of them.

Ok, I guess that's still my call. I think the only real rule is that you can recover half of your used ammunition if you decide to search for it. There is no ruling for thrown weapons, so I would assume they are even easier to find if you care to look for them. I'd say, if you look for them - which you do - you can find all that did not critical miss.

Good work. Well, we can catch arrows and pass them all on to Minty over there. It looks like he knows how to make good use of them!
After sitting for several minutes breathing deeply, his spell slots recovered, Egan strolls from one body to the next and finds the aforementioned 100 gold.
Eyebrow cocked, he says, “I suppose we split this 5 ways, 20 gold apiece.”
With the last filthy Goblin being vanquished, Lilgrea breathes a sigh of relief. She mutters to herself “This adventuring thing is scary, why am I even here?”. (She’s not shouting that for all to hear, but certainly loud enough for anyone within a few feet of her to hear if they were paying attention)
Finding a log laying on the ground, she sits down, and casts a small mirror out of thin air, using it to just check that her tiefling features are hidden from public eyes as much as is possible, before the mirror dissipates.
Taking a short rest to refresh her magic after a rather panicked and overpowered casting of shatter to obliterate one of the goblins, she is roused from her rest by Egan presenting her with 20gp. It is obvious from her face that this represents a lot of money to her.
He accepts the gold from Egan. "Thanks man, this will really help. You didn't happen to see those goblin's souls leave when they died, did you. Always freaks me right out."

Pretty wel rested the party is read to go again. It wasn't a terrible fight, but for some it was the first taste of adventuring. Curious about the remains of the bonfire some of the party members gather around it. At that moment a powerful voice booms:
"Well, well , well! What do we have here?"
The voice comes from a smiling Thug standing at the egde of the clearing. His grin turns into a snarl.
"Hand over your money and other shiny things! We've got you surrounded!"
From the corners of your eyes you can see 2 Bandit at other edges of the clearing. What do you want to do? As soon as a party member gives a negative reply we're going to roll for initiative.

Egan's had enough of this. He casts Magic Missile at 1st level, sending two darts toward Goblin 1 (Gisusz) and 1 dart toward Goblin 2 (Hizlerk).
3 4 4
7 damage to Goblin 1 (Gisusz) and 4 damage to Goblin 2 (Hizlerk).
(Hizlerk died from Lilgrea's Shatter. You want to change something?)

Correction, 11 damage to Goblin 1 (Gisusz). For some reason, I thought the second goblin was still on its feet.
If there is still a goblin standing (which I believe would be goblin 1), Minty would take careful aim and shoot another arrow (assuming 3/4 cover). Attack: 18 Damage: 13
<<OOC: I suppose that takes care of it even if the goblin had max hp (2d6) in 5e>>

The last goblin’s body jolts back and forth from the magic bolts’ impacts and while the body falls lifeless to one side it gets skewered by an arrow.
Time between threats: 6 (1d6)
OOC: Actually I didn't bother, they had all just the average HP of 7. But it's a good idea to vary HP. I would do that the next time.

Egan uses Arcane Recovery to gain back 2 of the first level spell slots he burned.
Does Justin’s Investigation for his javelins also count as his treasure roll?

No, this is aside from the treasure rolls.

Egan’s just sitting on a fallen log from Lilgrea’s Shatter, the usual dour look on his face while he watches Corvina pick at a dead goblin.

”That was some impressive spell slinging,” he says.
”Impressive!” Corvina agrees with a croak from Egan’s shoulder.
Egan doesn’t indicate whether or not he heard Lilgrea’s muttering a moment ago.
Minty goes of to retrieve some arrows.
He accepts the gold from Egan. "Thanks man, this will really help. You didn't happen to see those goblin's souls leave when they died, did you. Always freaks me right out."
Egan gives Minty a strange look, then says, "No, I didn't see any souls departing. Is that something you see often?"
After finding his Javalins and thanking Egan for the gold Justin makes his way over to Lilgrea.
That was amazing! You and Egan must be powerful wizards!
