You arrived late afternoon at Redtower, a small town located in the kingdom of Magdar, drawn by rumors of the nearby ruins of The Scarlet Citadel, and the legendary wealth and mysteries it might still hold. Securing lodging at the Cage Inn & Tavern you ate and drank before retiring for the night. Now you sit in the common room eating breakfast and listening to the townsfolk converse.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Soren6
Soren had taken the potion of healing for study only to try to reproduce it. (Hopefully he was able to gather herbs to create at least one more?) But he gladly gives the original to Garmuk at the start of this adventure.
Here are a few of the rumors you overhear as you eat breakfast.
Each time an adventurer perishes in the Scarlet Citadel, an unknown artist slips out by nightfall and paints a stone red at the red tower in their honor. Over time, the stones of the tower have been painted red many, many times.
Constable Roch is suspicious of adventurers, and it’s best not to get caught being drunk or difficult around town.
The party is alerted to the existence of the lifeless clearing in and the suspicion that Gabe from the orchard snuck out there recently and has been acting strangely since.
Soren thinks aloud to the group: "I have to agree, Garmuk. The constable does not sound like he will help us. But from the other rumor, it sounds like we might either inspect this lifeless clearing that 'Gabe from the orchard' visited, or maybe first go to the orchard, wherever that is, and visit Gabe himself. See if something seems off about him. I've always wanted to visit an orchard anyway - nature but not wild. Seems strange."
A large armored figure, who had been seated next to the group, turns and asks “I heard about that place too and was thinking of checking it out. May I tag along? My name is Fenrir. I’m an old order Oath of the Devout. “
I have a goblin death cleric that I could add also?
