Tibern will look around to try and see what they are talking about, seeing no sign of any rat let alone one in a cloak. "Are you both sure that you were not seeing things?" He asks as he tries to look harder for what they could have possibly seen.
Bron looked at Vandar with a look of wondering if he'd lost his mind when he asked about a rat in a cloak. " I think it's a bit early in the day to start drinking."
Bron seeing the rat tracks. " I guess you were drunk after all, but are you sure that it was wearing clothes and that you were just imagining it." Regardless he would try to track the tracks.
Bron manages to find the trail and follow it a bit further, the rat's tracks lead south between the two houses and then turn east and head straight towards the woods to the south of the large ruins on the east end of town, but he looses the trail before it gets to the remains of the old wall at the edge of town.
"Well you two saw a rat but are you sure that it was wearing closes of any kind?" Tibern questions as he to is starting to think that they are drunk as well.
Following the rodent's trail has led the group near the edge of a small farm. There is a young Halfling boy wandering around the field with a wooden sword apparently playing at being an adventurer. The boy spots the group of real adventurers and his eyes go wide, he runs up to the group excitedly, "OH WOW! Are you real adventurers! I'm gonna be a...a" The boy studders a bit when gets a good look at Tibern, a bit of fear is visible on his face, but he collects himself and continues. "I'm going to be an adventurer some day too. I've met humans and elves and gnomes and dwarves, but gosh mister I've never seen anyone like you before." He says directly to Tibern.
Tibern sighs internally but does his best not to show that he has gotten annoyed by people asking him about what he is. He does not get offended though since he knows that people like him tend to stay out of the public eye as much as they can. "It is not surprising to hear that young one. People like myself do not often travel in the open."
" Can't do much adventuring with a piece of wood like that and if his appearance frightens you you might as well forget the dream of being an adventure."
