Lothar checks the passage to the west and finds a large double door. The door is ornately decorated with relief carving. The ruins are dwarvish, and Lothar quickly translates them to find that they indicate that the room beyond is a temple of Dumathoin. The dust on the floor in this passage has been disturbed and you can tell that there has recently been quite a bit of traffic coming to and going from this room.
The man studied the temple door. "This place was once a holy place, but I fear it may have been overrun with evil. If we are clearing out this place, this is just as good as any start." He prepared himself for battle as he looked at Tibern to open the door.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Six cracked marble pillars line the walls of this hall, at the north end of which stands a nine-foot-tall statue of a dwarf seated on a throne, a mighty stone warhammer across his lap. Large emeralds gleam in the statue’s eyes. The dust and debris covering the floor has been swept to one side, and a campsite of sorts now spreads in front of the statue. Half a dozen bedrolls and packs are neatly arranged around a rough-built fire pit. A wooden table stands on the west side of the room between two pillars.
Two bugbears stand by the table, flanking a dark elf dressed in black leather armor and robes. He clutches a black staff with a carved spider at the top and frowns as he sees you. “It seems that I must deal with you myself. A pity it must end this way.”
Roll initiative please.
Enemies: 2
You guys are all around the star, if you roll higher initiative than your enemies go ahead and take your turn. Remember you can talk or roll perception, or whatever else that might count as a free action as part of your turn. The bless spell cast by Silas is still in effect on all of you.
Tibern casts his spell and a thunderous boom erupts from amongst your foes. The two bugbears stumble, clearly hit with the full force of the spell. The Drow remains in place and appears less affected. Two giant spiders fall to the ground beside the drow, shaken from their hiding places in the webs above.
There is also the movement in the webs above the door. I forgot to take line of sight into account for Silas's guiding bolt, none of you actually have a clear line of sight on The Black Spider, since he is behind a bugbear, so Silas can either roll for disadvantage in order to hit the Black Spider or take his 22 roll for a hit on BB2.
Ooc: I think Silas would have just fired that guiding bolt at the voice, thinking that's probably the biggest threat. So if it hit the bugbear that's fine.
OOG: Ok, to clarify then, Bugbear 2 was hit with guiding bolt and is really not looking well. The Black Spider did not cast shield as that requires a reaction to being directly attacked. (Sorry for any confusion)

Tibern looks unimpressed that he has to open the door but does so, before ducking to the side and readying his crossbow.

Initiative 10.
I should clarify, you are at the yellow star, the black one is part of the map it indicates the statue mentioned above.
Perception 22.
Silas notices that the ceiling of this room is covered in thick Spider webs and he manages to see something move within the webs just above the door.
Silas whispers to the others "careful, something moving around up there" and will point to whatever he saw with his sword.
Tibern curses as he sees this and loads his crossbow quickly. "This is not going as planned..."
Inititiative: 21
Tibern will set his crossbow to th side and instead begin to cast the spell Shatter.
Shatter: 10 or half if they fail a dc 14 con save.
Bugbear 1 (the north one) con save: 5
Bugbear 2: 8
The Black Spider: 7

Spider 1 takes 8
Spider 2: 6
Initiative: 12
Silas will cast guiding bolt on the drow that spoke to the group. Attack 22 damage 18 next person to attack has advantage.
As a reaction to Silas's spell The drow casts shield just a moment too late to stop the attack from hitting him.
Waiting for Lothar to roll his initiative and take his turn if he rolls higher than 8.
