The dagger attack should onky be four I was thinking of the wrong character when I did that and added the effect of the dual wielding fighting style for a ranger or fighter to add the damage modifier to an off hand weapon.
Tibern bears the crunch of bone as the goblin leader bits the ground in his attempt to escape from the group. As he had done before, the tiefling bard readies his blades and attempts to run forward and run the cowardly creature through with his rapier and dagger.
As the goblin leader attempts his escape Tiburn runs over to him, and in a flurry of blades the goblin leader falls to the ground never to rise again.
That would be the end of this combat round and Glen has made it back to the first room with the wolf corpses. He sees the dead animals still chained to steel stakes driven into the base of the stalagmite, at the far end of the tunnel under the natural chimney there is still a pile of refuse apparently dropped from above.
Now that combat is over everyone is free to move at will again.
Tibern will go over to check the human, frowning as he is not skilled in treating injuries. "If any of you happen to have any skill in medicine come over here and help me stabilize him." He calls out as he he grab the staff and hopes that with this being the staff of a god known for healing and the like it will help. He focuses on it and then the dying man to see if anything happens.
(If possible he will try to use regular cure wounds to heal him. If that works he will then heal any injured members of the party with it.)
Lothar shrugs at Tibern. "I am good at killing, not so much for healing. Your swordsmanship is excellent. Very good job." He then examines the goblin leader for anything worthwhile.
"There is a bugbear in this cavern. He must be hiding in the cavern near the water. Once Sildar, we should kill it before it gets the jump on us. We can come back for Sildar after we do the necessary." Lothar says matter of factly. His immediate thought is the ever present danger.

As Tibern holds the strange staff he feels something peculiar. Unlike an ordinary magical object which simply casts a spell when triggered, this staff almost feels as though it decides to help. When Tibern touches the staff to Sildar it creates a warm calm blue glow and Sildar opens his eyes.
Sildar looks around the room and then back to Tibern,
"Thankyou, my friend. It would seem Gundren hired the right group for the job, Unfortunately he is no longer here. Klarg, the bugbear in charge of this little group of marauders, apparently had orders to waylay Gundren and deliver him, and a map he carried, to a place called Cragmaw Castle. I have no idea where that is but perhaps one of the locals in Phandalin may know."
"It would mean much to the town of Phandalin if you could rescue him and retrieve that map. You see, Gundren and his brothers Tharden and Nundro recently located an entrance to the long-lost Wave Echo Cave, site of the mines of the Phandelver’s Pact. More than five hundred years ago, clans of dwarves and gnomes made an agreement known as the Phandelver’s Pact, by which they would share a rich mine in a wondrous cavern known as Wave Echo Cave. In addition to its mineral wealth, the mine contained great magical power. Human spellcasters allied themselves with the dwarves and gnomes to channel and bind that energy into a great forge (called the Forge of Spells), where magic items could be crafted. Times were good, and the nearby human town of Phandalin (pronounced fan-duh-lin) prospered as well. But then disaster struck when orcs swept through the North and laid waste to all in their path."
"A powerful force of orcs reinforced by evil mercenary wizards attacked Wave Echo Cave to seize its riches and magic treasures. Human wizards fought alongside their dwarf and gnome allies to defend the Forge of Spells, and the ensuing spell battle destroyed much of the cavern. Few survived the cave-ins and tremors, and the location of Wave Echo Cave was lost."
"For centuries, rumors of buried riches have attracted treasure seekers and opportunists to the area around Phandalin, but no one has ever succeeded in locating the lost mine, until the Rockseeker brothers came along that is. In recent years, people have resettled the area and Phandalin is now a sort of frontier town, it's a tough place to make a living. but if the Rockseekers reopen that mine things will change in quickly."
"I am in no shape to go off in search of Gundren, and my adventuring days are long past. but I must get to Phandalin for reasons of my own. Would you be willing to provide escort for me once there I will easily be able to take out a loan of which I will gladly pay you 50 gold for your services. And as I said perhaps you will be able to learn the location of this Cragmaw castle from one of the locals."
Tibern looks to the other members of the party to see what they thought of the situation. He could not let the man go alone in his current condition as it was clear that even though he healed him the human was not in a good condition to be traveling. As he let the rest of them decide he turns his attention to the staff to inspect it more.
Tibern gets a feeling that there is more to this staff than a simple magic item. It feels almost as though it has a will of its own, and rather than actually attuning itself to Tibern it may simply be allowing Tibern to use it's power. Tibern gets the distinct feeling that the staff "wants" to get away from this cave, and that it "feels grateful" for being pulled out of the stream. He still feels no malevolence from the item, and in fact feels that the connection made between himself and it is by no means a permanent one.
Tibern will put the staff on his pack as he looks to the rest of them. "This appears to heal. Is anyone still in need of it?" The tiefling asks since it did not seem that it held any malice and it had brought the human back to his feet. He would make sure to look into the staff the next time they made their way into a town with magical knowledge.

Bron crosses his arms across his chest while giving Sildar an intense glare, " You'll have to wait right here until we go deal with the bugbear and I think we've earned more than 50 gold."
Sildar looks back at Bron and says, "Perhaps you are right, I can manage a larger loan than that, I can give you 100 gold. But anymore and I will be left with nothing but my wits." He then arms himself with one of the goblin scimitars and the leader's shield and says. "I wouldn't mind a chance to pay Klarg back a little, I will assist where I can."
Glen can simply walk through the refuse (garbage, in this case mostly gnawed bones and excrement) but if he wishes to climb the 30ft high natural chimney through which it has been dropped he will have to roll 2 DC 10 athletics checks.
There is nowhere to go unless you climb the chimney. the map makes it look like a horizontal passage but that is a 30 foot high climb to go through that passage on the east side of the room Glen is in. If you want to go that way you have to climb.
Seeing Bron convince the other man to offer more gold and to help them, Tibern looks to the other members of the party. He notices that Glen is not with them again and makes his way out toward the stream where they had been before. When he does not see him immediately he goes bacl to the rest of the party. "It seems that our wizard friend has wandered off."

Lothar
Lothar follows after the Bron. It is time to do battle, yet people keep running off away from the group. Following the path over the bridge, he makes his way to the entrance of the lake chamber and waits for the others to catch up, including Sildar. He listens for signs of the bugbear in the cave beyond.

more on the way, lots to cover here.
Vandar finds nothing of value on the goblin grunts.
Lothar finds a pouch containing three gold teeth (1 gp each) and 15 sp on the goblin leader.

Yikes. Glen makes it about half way up the shaft before loosing his grip and falling back down taking 3 damage.
(Your not dead yet, just dyeing again. I will have you roll death saving throws soon unless someone heals you.)
