So here, instead of arcana or religion, it would be arcana and religion. It's otherwise pretty different so the mechanic doesn't port directly, but I like the general idea. Also the two can be tbe same, like athletics and athletics if you're just lifting something. This would take real work to bring to 5e, but it could be done. The major thing is that a situation like thjs almost demands a caster to make the check, and within the system, I think that's the author's intent, unless yoibhave a bunch of glyph keys, which would reward exploration by allowing the non-casters to try it while casters engage the foes, if the group wants to do that.>
(That being said, if we have someone "help" the arcana check of another, we would get advantage, so even though Piccolo sucks at Arcana, if she helped Trisk, he gets advantage, unless I'm mistaken).
Help action prerequisite is proficiency, plus now you're using two PCs actions instead of one. Math is actually better if you borj just try the check. (I think. I didn't do the math, but the DC isnt very high)

Annoyed, he doesn't hesitate to get back up again; He ain't moving anywhere anytime soon but still... eyeing his brother, the next thing he sees are the gargoyles . Glancing back to Piccolo, Trisk and the new guy, he figures they might need help at some point... but he decides to help his big brother first.

If you call out a target, the seahag will attempt an attack on behalf of Eira. The Tyrant is stuck here, but doesnt really care who you ate. Valindra is hard to sway. Kazit Gul serves under Tam but resents him. They're all pretty powerful, but some are heartier than others and their desire to kill you varies widely.
The hag can reach any of these targets and her attack is save dependent,as Eira eluded to.
(OOC: Is Ethan unconscious?...either way, we need to keep opening the vaults with the arcana rolls, so whoever is best at that get cracking!)

To clarify, opening the sepulchers is easy. The doors turn into gargoyles. Disrupting the vaults requires checks.
I have Gul mapped above a sepukcher, so not within 5ft of anyone.

You can sense the girls anger, her rage, her determination. You see an Image of Kazit Gul having his body disintegrate slowly while the little Eladrin girls sits in a tree, swinging her legs idly. The entire doomvault shaking violently, as if an earthquake has hit it, then getting sucked into nothingness as nature destroyed its very existence.
