Two more of the goblins fall down, fast asleep. One is precariously close to the edge of the ledge, has an arm hanging over the edge. Four are remaining, angry and pulling out their short bows.

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Garth shakes his head at the futility of attacking he and his companions. He launches an arrow at the nearest awake goblin then, depending on range, may drop his bow and draw a sword.
Garth skewers another Goblin who falls over the ledge. With over half of the goblins dead or asleep, the remaining few run back the way they came into their barracks to regroup and rethink their occupations and life choices.
Jibbs grabs his pokey thing off the wall, gathers a makeshift bearskin bathrobe as he jumps out of his mud bath, and he starts to run after he sees most of his goblin band fall over. He dashes out of the mouth of the cavern, through the wooden door, yelling as he runs. You have never seen such as strange sight in your life as a fleeing half naked ogre running away from his mud bath.
Norak looks at you and says “Yep, I’ve never seen that before. I’m out.” He turns to the other orcs and says “I’ll see you back at the cave. We’re going to have to rethink this.”
You all gather your things and head back to the portcullis, after further investigation you find a switch allowing the counterweights to lift the portcullis, and you make your way carefully to the exit. “Redd is never going to believe this. Let’s come back and investigate this further sometime. We can still put this to rest if we come back within this week. What a strange place!”
And that, dear adventurers, is where our chapter of the Forbidden Caverns ends. Thank you all!
The End.
