Cyro quickly snatches a bat from the bucket and tosses it. The second frog jumps into the air and gulps it down mid-air. Drops of cold water flick through the air. It gives you a crooooaaaak and both frogs regard you expectantly.
Cyro and Fro, you noticed there are only a few bats left in the bucket.
We need to get these frogs more bats to eat, otherwise they could be hostile.”Cyro says as he puts his hand in front of one of the frogs to show it that he means no harm to them.
The two frogs pounce on the small pile of bats, trying to slurp them up. They give each other little aggressive chirps and croaks as each tries to hog the bats for itself. One tries to body check the other out of the way! You easily take your leave as this occurs.
A single-file corridor slopes upward and soon opens into a new cavern. The ground is quite dry here and the walls are full of cracks, clefts, and shadowy nooks. Ten empty bedrolls are arranged in a circle around a cold fire pit at the center of this cavern. Chicken bones, empty wine and spirits bottles, and other food waste litters the floor.
Fro looks for other openings so she can keep an eye on anyone else coming in the cavern. She then hangs the torch from a nook in the walls and searches the area, particulary the bedrolls and the area around the fire. "Guys, help me look around, see if there is any information about where the group has went."
You don't get far in your investigation because as you cautiously enter the room, senses alert for any abnormality, you catch the glint of your torch flame reflecting off a crossbow bolt pointed at you from inside one of the crevices at the edge of the room. Cyro notices it too. Looks like you found the ambush, but the two of you are not surprised.
The others can roll perception to see if they are surprised. You need to meet or beat an 8!
Roll initiative, because that crossbow bolt is about to be loosed!
Those who are unsurprised can spot 4 bandits lurking in the room's natural hiding spots at the edges. They're humanoid in appearance, faces covered with cloth like the ones at Pelc's did. Their locations make an arc, each about 5' away from the next. Two have crossbows at the ready, 2 are holding swords.
I will now do insight on the frogs (why do I come up with this) 11

Cyro you’re worried the frogs will remain friendly only so long as you have bats to hand out.
We need to get these frogs more bats to eat, otherwise they could be hostile.” Cyro says as he puts his hand in front of one of the frogs to show it that he means no harm to them.
"Or we need to get past them before we run out." Fro starts moving briskly toward the opening.
Faloniir will follow Fro.
Cyro tips over the rest of the bucket for the frogs and follows Fro and Faloniir.

The bandits got a 3 for initiative!

Cyro nocks an arrow and shoots at one of the crossbow-wielding bandits. To hit: 9 Damage if it lands: 6
