Nivi sends another ball of eldritch energy at the fish man, yet it still holds onto the deck. Dobin comes up to the creature and cuts off the creature's hands, it's life fading as it drops into the sea. Najax rushes towards one of the fishmen, already engaged in a melee with a dwarf. He brings his heavy greatsword upon the creature's shoulder. But the fishman pulls free of the weighty sword and gapes its mouth, shouting out in its tongue. Davak runs up to the side of a fishman, both his swords slashing at it, yet only finds to have just attracted its attention. Nivi takes the opportunity to aim at the fishman's head, sending an arrow through its mouth as it opens to snarl. Brand says a small chant as three ribbons of fire burst around him. He weaves the fire around him and then sends them off, each of them going to a different creature. Jasmine comes onto the deck at Dobin's call.
The dwarf near Najax raises his battleaxe. He buries it into the wound made Najax, carving deeper into the creature and finally draws it out as the creature stops resisting. The dwarf near Davak hops over the dead fish and shoves his spear into a fishman as it starts to climb onto the ship, already burned by Brand's spell but dead by the spear entering his chest. You hear a sickening crunch from the helm.

The fish men lash out, biting at the dwarves. And as a few of them draw blood, they howl with glee as their assault continues. They bring thrust their tridents into the dwarves yet they hold steady as none falls. One of the creatures hops down from the fore castle, muttering in their strange language as their allies around them fight. You see a few of their wounds start to mend as the same creature turns its attention to Brand. An ominous toll sounds out that only Brand can hear
Brand hears the bell, it reverbs through his soul and heralds a vision of blackness, death and despair as the necromantic spell floods his body. He grabs at his head gasping from the pain. He regains his senses, faces the spellcasting fish-thing and casts his Scorching Rays again all upon that one enemy.

Seeing a nearby dwarf who seems to be in trouble, Davak rushes over, growing in size as he goes. He then taps into his stamina to act again, attacking the dwarf's foes.
Quill stays still, and merely points a finger at two different fishfaces. Suddenly, horrible images flash through their minds. The eternal hunger of the things beyond the stars, the blind knowledge of things so much greater than any mortal being, any god. The inane cosmic dancing of the mad daemon sultan at the center of all realities, the toothless grin of the thing that was grinning before anything even knew what a grin was. A primal terror courses through them, urging them to run, run and never come back.

"Ignorance is bliss, and you look absolutely miserable."
Nivi sees fire boy (Brand) clutching his head and snipes back from her hiding spot using her longbow at the same spell-casting Sahuagin. (If it is still alive - otherwise she chooses any other injured Sahuagin). Assuming she has advantage due to being hidden, 3d20s due to Elven Accuracy.
To hit (targeting spell-casting Sahuagin if still alive after Brand's attack, otherwise any other injured one): 25 Damage: 16 (including sneak attack)
She then re-positions on the other side of the mast and hides as a bonus action (rogues' Cunning Action).
Her owl familiar, Shiv, uses his 60' fly speed and Flyby capability (no opportunity attacks) to take the help against whichever Sahuagin Najax is attacking, granting the big dragonborn paladin advantage once more on his attack, and returning to Nivi's shoulder.

Before Najax brought his sword down, Nivi's owl flew down and distracted the Sahuagin.
" Did you help me, little owl? "
Najax narrows his eyes at Shiv.
"Good!Good bird! "
The Dragonborn runs to thethreefish men who surround the bleeding Dwarf. Sparks leaking from his mouth, and a strong smell of ozone fills the air. The Bronze Dragonborn opens his jaw and unleashes lightning breath toward the monsters.
Breath Weapon to the two of three Sahuagins on Najax's right. One of them only has 6 HP.
Bronze Dragon
As an action once per short rest, exhale in a 5 by 30 ft. line (DEX DC 12, half damage on success) for 9 Lightning Damage
(Oooh, I think my damage tracker is confusing both groups. The number on them is the total damage done to them. So you'll tell when they'll get damaged or healed, you just won't know how much health they have. Will update the round soon.)
Najax takes a step to the side and lets out a roar, lightning discharging from his mouth towards the fish people. One of them barely manages to avoid the worst of it as another of them starts to climb over, only to be singed by the lightning. Dobin and Raven try to follow up but the fish people flail too much to let them get a hit in. Davak charges for the nearest fishmen, his steps becoming heavier as he goes. Until he's easily outsizes the fishmen and brings down both his weapons, enlarged as well, down upon them, leaving heavy wounds upon them. As the creatures hiss at the now large Davak, Quill's spell takes a hold of them as they see Quill's form shift. Into something more terrible, as they almost start to back away from the sight of them. Until they see they're still in combat, they brace themselves but dare not even glance at Quill. The magical fishman appears to laugh as her spell hurts Brand, stopping as Brand sends flames towards her. They raise their hands to defend themselves from the brunt of it but still stands. Even as it feels an arrow piercing through their stomach. It looks towards Nivi, its blackless eyes following her as she tries to hide from them.
The dwarves fight back and you hear a ,quickly becoming familiar, death throe of one of the creatures. And as it dies out, a deafening shout is heard from the helm and you see a massive fish person with two sets of arms shouting something in some language. The fish people seem to heed this one's words as they disengage from the battle, jumping back into the sea. As they run away, you see the large fish person was fighting a dwarf who shouted after them.
"That's right, run away! If I see you again on these seas, I'm carving my name on all your carcasses, HILDA WINDRUNE, remember it you scaly ****s!"
Brand slumps to the floor. He had no actual wounds but it was evident from the paling skin and a few lingering black veins that his vitality, his life essence, had withered significantly. The glow of his eyes were duller. He was breathing heavily. Despite specialising in fire - an element very focused on battle and destruction - he was not actually well versed in combat. Or, more specifically, not well versed in receiving pain.
He looked to Nivi, to catch their eye, and in doing so he gives a slow nod as a gesture of thanks and respect.
With a sigh he gets to his feet.
"Who, or what, were they?" He asks aloud to anyone who can hear. "Is this normal when sailing?"
