The door opens into a small, tidy shop with shelves on either side. On the left the shelves are lined with small trinkets and do-dads, nothing useful but interesting. The left side contains expensive looking scrolls written in arcane text. A small gnome pokes his head above a counter a bit too big for him, before scrambling it over to meet you. He is old for his race, most of his hair has fallen off, except for streaks of grey at the sides of his head, and has a monocle over his right eye. "Well, nice to seem customers," he says in a shaky but bright voice, "Glad to meet you, my name is Gladdy Ambercap, and this is my little shop. What can I do for you?"
"Good day! I'm Fadi, and I'd like to know if you have anything useful for adventurers with a good price! Maybe some potions?" Fadi says, thinking it's a good idea to show interest in the store before interrogating the gnome.
"Kalhiri probably can use any of these, but only once. Anyway, it's good to know what's available, in case we plan something that needs one of these" Fadianswers. He then turns back to Gladdy: "We're also investigating about the vanishing of a delegation that passed through the town... have you heard anything about that?"
Gladdy's face lights up in recognition. "I remember them. One of them actually bought a few of my scrolls, this dwarfish fellow. There were a few other people who had gotten into town recently as well. They looked like monks, but they had this golden gargoyle mask, strange people, I'll tell you that much."
Pyre-Winder, you didn't see any scroll satchel or scrolls on the body. (fyi you don't need a history check for things that happened to you. History is only remember events that made, well history.)
Gladdy shuffles through more papers. "Oh, a scroll of the spell Absorb Elements and one for the spell Detect Magic."
Meanwhile Garth, standing outside, is relieved not to hear the sounds of combat or argument, so he sits on the porch and takes the opportunity to study the village more closely.
" Hmmm, perhaps his attackers took those or he used the Absorb Elements in the combat? Sad to say I think your customer is no longer among the living. Ambushed on the road."
Garth was guarding outside, within earshot, waiting for the others to finish.

Kalhiri was waiting with Garth, not wanting to go into a new town all alone.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Sorry, I'm beginning to enter a vacation period and while I will try to check-in at least daily, I cannot promise that I will always be able to do so. From September 1, I should be back to normal.

" Anything really, we're in the market for the eclectic.", Pyre-Winder continues catching on to Fadis tactic.
Gladdy frowns and scratches his chin, "No, I don't sell potions, I'm a scribe by trade. Anyone interested in a scroll?"
"Could be. What sort of scroll?""
Gladdy pulls out a wrinkled piece of paper and hands it to you, having to jump slightly to do so. It seems to be a list of items in stock, it reads
- Alarm (60 Gold)
- Clairvoyance (200 Gold)
- Disguise Self (60 Gold)
- Find Familiar (60 Gold)
- Inflict Wounds (60 Gold)
- Light (10 Gold)
" Ah! Hmmm, well I can't make use of any of these but....Fadi? Would anyone of the others want one of these?"
"Kalhiri probably can use any of these, but only once. Anyway, it's good to know what's available, in case we plan something that needs one of these" Fadi answers. "Oh, we heard about those monks too... do you think these two groups might have some feud?" Fadi continues inquiring.
"I can't tell you. I haven't seen them in town since."
" What scrolls did the dwarf purchase?". said Pyre-Winder trying to recall details from both the bodies and the ambush site.

(( Happy to wait ))
" Hmmm, perhaps his attackers took those or he used the Absorb Elements in the combat? Sad to say I think your customer is no longer among the living. Ambushed on the road."
"That's a shame. Once you've lived as long as me you're bound to cross a few tragedies. Is there anything else I can get you?"
" I think I'm good. Anyone else?"
Pyre-Winder began heading for the door.
Alright, while that was happening, where did Kalhiri and Garth go to investigate?
Garth was guarding outside, within earshot, waiting for the others to finish.
