The conversation is interrupted by shouts of alarm from outside the inn. Approaching the inn are eight fierce looking humanoids brandishing weapons. Two of them hold swords outfitted with shark-teeth.The man leading the group, who doesn't have any weapons by the looks of it, leans on their staff. They are a middle aged human in a chain shirt and a silver staff. On their face is a messy white beard and a gleam of malice in his eyes. He looks directly at Pyre-Winder and grins with pointy teeth.

He chuckles. He speaks almost jokingly. "Look at you four. Thinking you're adventurers. Looking for that delegation like some sort of detectives." He scoffs and his face and voice get grimmer. "Stay out of it. This is bigger than you could possibly imagine."
“What’s bigger than we can imagine?” asks Kalhiri who just stepped out of the inn. “You’ve found the delegation and you’re saying they are safe again?”

Garth nods, "That's good news lads. our work's almost done." He looks around at his companions, edging a little closer as Aelin takes to the sky. "The perhaps you'll tell us where they are? We'd live to have a word with them."
The leader's grin fades. "Well, you can't see them yet because... well, uh." He pauses for a good eight seconds before grimacing. "Forget this, kill them!" Garth, your readied action triggers as the brutes draw their weapons.
(( Is this a new round, with Garth and Aelin to act...or now it's someone else's turn? ))
You readied your attack on the priest for when they attacked. They began to attack, your readied action triggers and you make your attack. Did I misinterpret something?
(( No worries...the conversation went longer than expected, and I thought the first round was just getting out of the inn and running into street, but it seems combat really only just started. Happy to just keep on going, though. ))
Some of the brutes in the back are first to act. They seem more like hired muscle than the three in front, who have decorated themselves to stand out. They take out crossbows and a barrage of bolts fire at you.
Two at Garth: Attack: 5 Damage: 4 , Attack: 14 Damage: 3

Pyre-Winder looks startled, he wasn't expecting to be attacked in town.
" Everyone! Help!', he yelled to those inside.

"What's the meaning of all this ruckus?" he says.
