Can we have a clarification on the flanking rules we are using?
I'm starting to wonder if we are using it correctly and just wanted to get your take on how you rule it in your game (sorry if you already explained thus early on and I just forgot). I was under the impression that it only gave advantage to melee attacks and only if they are opposing sides of an enemy.
I'm fine if you rule that range attacks can take advantage of flanking rules, Count will probably take advantage of the light crossbow more often in that case.
You know what, on second thought, if the enemy is that close, then Peregrin drops the shortbow and draws the rapier and does the attack. We'll use the number rolled on the shortbow for simplicity, though.

What I usually say is if there’s three or more characters in melee range of a single enemy, you get the same bonuses as if you were flanking them by having one character on each side. And yeah, it can apply to ranged weapons.

If I haven’t offended you, don’t worry. I’m sure I’ll get to you eventually.
“I don’t have need for any of the newest items, however. Did we sell that chain shirt earlier?” Dolrik looks concerned.”I’ve heard tales of creatures that can damage or outright destroy metal armors, shields and weapons. Perhaps we should consider keeping a few things in back-up.”
”How is everyone’s health?” Dolrik looks over his comrades for their conditions.
If we're doing flanking, then the advantage would have canceled the disadvantage.

Dolrik points at the underling (feeling like the breeze from his finger might be enough to make it fall) and casts Toll the Dead.
DC 14 Wis Save or 8 necrotic damage.

Ok, so from these guys you’ll be able to loot a rapier, 2 gold, a shortsword, a light crossbow and 1 bolts.
