"We should investigate on what the minerals they are collecting and where that unmanned boat is going. Maybe someone can distract the 2 men and someone else can collect a sample" says Bellamy. He is relieved that Lana returned none worse for wear. 

Lana slowly shook her head - a gesture lost for others as she still remained invisible. "I do not know if the path behind the death pit leads down there to the river. It might but can not say for sure. As for the disguise..." She paused looking for words. "You did look very convincing to my eyes. Even if those two suspect something they would want to know for sure before acting. So, we will get the chance to get very close and apprehend them, should it be necessary."

Lana's voice became a bit worried. "How much time until invisibility drops? If I can retain it, I might be able to steal a piece of that crimson rocks while they are distracted with the group."

(I would say about 15 minutes left on invisibility)

To Zane's points about a back door and the goal being to save a man rather than disrupt the operation, Rel replies, "I hear you.  My concerns are that as Lana said, we do not know if there is a 'back door' to approach from since we do not yet know where the path beyond the mass grave leads."

She thinks back, trying to remember.  "As for our goals, we have multiple.  One is to help Vlad on behalf of her sister Vale.  But we are commissioned by Jarsali Firahel, from whom our lead scout Lana works, to investigate the possible plot by Lord Agustin and associates that she fears may go into effect during the gala tomorrow night.  The event includes nobles and leaders across the Menagerie Coast, including, the seven political leaders of the Clovis Concord.  Lord Agustin will be in attendance, and if he has some coup or power play involving this rite and undead for example, our goal is to find out at a minimum, and disrupt it if the opportunity presents itself.  I have to say, the fear or such a plot seems plausible to me at this point."

"So shall I disguise myself as the violet and gold woman?  I can attempt to deceive them into providing a status report and perhaps coming up into an ambush while Lana, invisible collects a sample of the red mineral to investigate?  At that point, we can decide whether to forge ahead, perhaps using the unmanned skiff to ferry us, or retreat and report back to Jarsali.  Or retreat right now?"

She turns to Lana (or where she thinks Lana is) as another thought occurs to her.  "The crimson mineral.  Was it the color of blood?"

"That sounds like a good plan Rel lets go with it and hope they are fooled by you. I will hang back as to remain unseen." says Bellamy

"I think we can simply accompany Rel and act as if we belong to her," argues Tex. "And I think if we disrupt this shipment, we will be long gone when they decide to check. They are up to no good with this ritual Lana speaks of, and I am in favour of causing any delay that we can, unless we can use it to find out where it's headed."

Zane says, "So be it. By the way, did either of resemble any of the people who picked up the crate from the ship?"

"Trouble is, only Lana has seen them and she wasn't on the ship when the people picked up the crate."  Rel does her best to describe to Lana what the associates of the brown-haired woman looked like when they picked up Vlad's crate from the Dragonfly in case they sound like the two men she just saw.

"If these two are from that group, the rest of you should stay out of view or they will recognize you.  Two distinctive tabaxi and a kobold.  Memorable.  Same for me being half-drow, only I will look like the violet and gold woman.  Unless we can play all of us being here to our advantage somehow?  Otherwise, I approach in disguise with Lana invisible nearby.  I speak tersely as the woman did.  Saying there's been an issue and they are needed back up here in the tunnel immediately, no time for questions.  I ask for a status report as they walk up.  You all ambush non-lethally?"

If everyone agrees, Rel casts Disguise Self using a pact slot to look like the brown-haired woman in violet and gold.  No concentration required, one hour duration.  She walks with Lana towards where Lana had seen the men, casting and concentrating on Guidance on herself before coming into view of the men.  Remembering the woman's agility and power, Rel tries to emulate the confident, no-nonsense demeanor and stride (using her 16 DEX and 20 CHA).

(Will pause there before I post what Rel says in case there are any changes of plan or the situation with the men has changed).

Lana would have been too far away to get a good look at them, especially with their hoods up, and unable to tell if they were the same people at the Dragonfly

With that information, let me know which of you, if not all are going with the disguised Rel

Zane will go, but stay at the very top of the stairs, out of sight of whoever is down below. He'll drop to his stomach and crawl to the edge to be able to peer over it once the others have headed down.

Tex will join Zane to prepare an ambush should Rel manage to lure these strangers up. Only, he will only try to hide in the darker shadows close to the tunnel. 

 Obviously, Lana will follow. Even if her invisibility drops off, she is unknown to any associate of the woman in violet.

Rel takes the guise of the human woman from the docks once more. Violet vest with golden trim over her white shirt. Well kept grey leather pants and violet boots that flare out at the collars. Finishing the disguise with a hat that covers her brown hair. She attempts to walk with the same demeanor and attitude as that of the woman as she approaches the end of the stairs leading to the open cavern space. Lana follows silently, still invisible for the time being but soon to wear off. The rest of the group holds back to try and watch from a vantage point. Hoping to get the drop on the two, hooded individuals should Rel be able to convince them in her disguise. 

You can see that the two hooded figures have just begun to move the crate of minerals down the southern hallway.

Rel keeps her stride confident and compact as an instinctive fighter who relies on quickness and precision would.  Concentrating on Guidance.

Her voice is similarly terse, clipped and straightforward.  No nonsense.  Trying to put the tiniest bit of concern or worry (but no panic or alarm) into it as if something has gone strangely wrong and needs urgent attention.

"Stop.  You two.  There's been an unexpected incident.  We are compromised in a way we did not expect.  The crate can wait for now.  Come up and follow me immediately.  Word from Lord Agustin."

Rel regards the hooded men calmly as if she expects instant obedience as a matter of course.  Not imperiously as her mother would - just matter of fact.

"You can use the short time it takes to walk and follow me to give me a status update.  Quickly."

She keeps her face calm but does attempt to discern if possible whether these look like two of the men who had accompanied the violet and gold woman onto the Dragonfly to pick up Vlad's create.  Or maybe like the ones with red-glowing eyes that Vale had described with Lord Agustin back at Port Zoon.

They turn to look and as they see you, disguised as the woman, they set the crate down and begin to walk towards you. Convinced that you are indeed the woman they seem to take orders from.

"Compromised?" One of them shouts, "Are the Zhelezo onto us?" As they hurry along towards you the other asks, "What word from Lord Agustin, do we need to fight anyone off?" 

(For anyone hiding up the stairs or anywhere else, I need a stealth check as they are getting close enough to see the rest of the group.)

Tex and Lizzy stay back at the tunnel and try to hide there, in metal armor or metal body, they do make some noise. Stealth: 9 and 5, Tex and Lizzy, respectively.

The two were properly distracted and the waterfall was still streaming down noisily, but the invisibility was about to dissipate and Lana rushed forward less carefully than she had to be. She was searching for a crimson rock - either a pice that fell off the crater or an open container - anything to take the sample.

Zane stealth check: 12.

Lana, while the two are distracted, you are able to move in close to the crate. Looking on the ground nearby you find one of the crimson colored stones. What do you do with it?

That was exactly what Lana wanted! She made sure the two strangers are not looking, picked up that stone and put it into her pocket, hiding under the cover of invisibility as well.

If there is still a chance to hide, say, behind that arch support near the stairs for when invisibility ends, she will do it as well.
