Tex enters the tavern from outside and joins the breakfast wide eyed and in a low voice and conspiratorial tone he says, „I think they made some mistake, they gave me a large room all for myself! I didn’t find where you all were sleeping and my keys only fit into that one room,“ he looks around if anyone is listening. „Now in the morning, when I woke I left quickly, in case someone would notice and make me pay even more.“(Tex hasn’t ever got a private room before. Could Tex spot anything interesting in the direct vicinity for walking around about half an hour? Like shops or other temples, a constabulary, or the quality of housing in general?)
“I totally agree with Zane. Just busting in the mansion and look at Vlad again doesn’t do us any good. First and foremost, we must find a way to help him. I’m not sure if vampirism can be reversed but my feeling is that that should be the priority, then this enchantment. We don’t know if Vampire Vlad is on our side and shares the sentiment that healing him is in his best interest.“ Tex turns to Thren, „I would think, if anyone, the temples know how to remove this curse and Thren is a cleric. It sounds to me that he has bonds to the temple of Korg, so it stands to reason that we would find most sympathetic ears there. Then, I also have better idea where to start other then turning pages in the local library, but that can take decades if we have to find the answer ourselves in books that is if that knowledge even is publicly accessible.“

Sorry, I'm beginning to enter a vacation period and while I will try to check-in at least daily, I cannot promise that I will always be able to do so. From September 1, I should be back to normal.
Rel listens to the back and forth. "I did see a large marble building with a golden-domed roof which must house some of the civic government here as we were following Vlad's create to the old Briarwood house. But the issue is not just individual vampirism."
Her food breakfast sits largely forgotten on the table in front of her as she continues. "It is the trafficking in undead. And the likely crime which was committed against Vlad in Port Zoon and the geas laid on him. Even for the vampirism bit, I have heard that clerics are sometimes more effective and experienced at countering them than government bureaucrats. So I am open to Thren'sTemple of Korg idea as well."
It is clear as she talks that there is something in Rel that viscerally loathes the phenomenon of undeath. It takes her some time to begin eating again.
"I also saw a store. 'Buy the Way', I think it was called. Better to spend some of our gold and make ourselves less of a mark for cutpurses and thugs."
She smiles. "And Tex, we all had rooms to ourselves. That's what the gold piece was for, along with the late night meal."
"Yeah your right lets see if the clerics of Korg have any remedies or added knowledge."says Bellamy. He then finally realized he forgotten to eat while discussing the next step and then waves over the halfling man "I would like to have whatever you have for breakfast. I think this will be a busy day"
„But why would they give large private rooms to travelers, who might only stay there one night? Sounds like such a waste of space. What they do with it when there isn’t somebody renting it? A whole family could live in a room such as this.“ Tex digs in whatever they serve as breakfast, „I’m with you Bellamy, best to begin a potentially long day with a full stomach!“

Breakfast at the Seaside Inn consists of eggs, croissants, diced melon and choice of drink. It is included with the price of the room that you rented. You order your food and it arrives quite promptly to your table.
Valecontinues to sip her tea and looks up to say "I think both ideas are a good start. Which should we do first? Or maybe we could split up?"
Tex
On your morning stroll outside, you did see a few taverns, a brothel, a general store called 'Buy the Way' and a governmental building similar to what Relhas described.
Bellamy happily sips from his mug of coffee and digs into the the eggs and croissants. Leaving the diced melons for last. He uses a handkerchief to wipe his mouth. "I think we can stop by the store Buy the Way and then head to the temple of Korg. If that does not pan out then we can inquire more at the civic building." says Bellamy as he looks for approval of the days itinerary.
"Sounds good to me, " Tex seconds Bellamy proposal. "I'm not sure what to buy, though. I always made myself the things that I needed. What do you think we should buy?"

Rel agrees on the plan of stopping at 'Buy the Way' and then heading to the Temple of Korg. As she finishes her breakfast, she suggests:
"If we cannot think of anything to spend our newfound gold on, I am considering buying a Potion of Healing or two. We all saw how hard that thin green man from the pirate ship hit, and he may find us at any moment. He said that he would see us soon."
"Well, normally we charge four copper for a mug of ale but I suppose if you want a 'to go cup' I can fill your waterskin for the same price."
Valelistens as you plan things out and adds "Well if you want to check in with the clerics at the temple I might as well go and check in with some of the authorities around here. Ask around about the Briarwoods and see what I can find. I'll go out and haveCaptain FlameorZandirmaybe come with me. I suppose I shouldn't call him Captain anymore since he is selling his boat. Wonder if he is still out at the Dragonfly trying to sell it."
She gets up to walk out and check outside for Captain Flame.
"That's a deal." says Bellamy as he steps out and waters the nearby plants with the contents of his waterskin. He then heads back in and hands it over to the Halfling Man and gives him 1 gold and takes the change.
Once its filled he will gather his pack "Well that's a good plan Vale. We can meet back here later"Then he looks to his companions "I don't know where the store is, can someone lead the way"
Rel, having taken mental notes on the location of both 'Buy the Way' and the big marble civic building during their trek through town the previous evening, is happy to lead the way. But first, if it is not too far, she suggests taking a minute to accompany Vale and drop her off with Captain Flame on Water.
Mostly because she is worried about the sleep-deprived young woman wandering around Port Damali and falling prey to bad actors. But also to check in with the Captain at the Dragonfly to make sure everything is ok. And that Vrakath has not made another appearance.
Zane says, "I can go with Vale for now and we can meet up again later. Help her with the details if required and other such things. At least I can't speak too coherently after a skipped night of sleep."
He looks around. "Should we make this our meeting point? I hope Vale can sleep once we inform the authorities. Or should we pick something more central in the city?"
(after the trip through the city the day before, does Zane recall any inn that would be easy to find that was more in the center?)
As you all head out of the Inn, the morning sun is warm and inviting. The docks are less lively than when you arrived yesterday as most of the trade happens in the afternoon once the fishing boats arrive back in. You spot the Dragonfly still at the same dock.
Valewalks aboard looking for Captain Flame or Zandir. She walks below deck and you hear her instantly scream. Rushing to her and heading below deck, you see Captain Flame, lying motionless in a pool of blood. His body, severely mutilated to the point of almost being unrecognizable, though his metal leg is easily identifiable and proves it to indeed be him.
Valeturns and looks away as the sight is too much for her.
Zane
I will say that you probably would have noticed Inn's and taverns along the way while following the crate, however, since your focus was on the task of following the crate you did not take note of the name of any particular establishment.
Bellamy heads out and enjoys the feeling of the sun on his white fur. To Zane he says "Yes this Inn will be our meeting spot."He then waits for the others as he does not know where the store is.
Zane walks past Vale and inspects Captain Flame, inspecting the wounds, looking for confirmation that it was done by the green dude (not touching anything).
He turns around, "Vale, it's probably best if you tell the others of what has happened here and then find the port authorities as quickly as possible. I will inspect the rest of the ship."
Zane says, "I don't mean to accuse, I mean to share information. I don't know what the laws are around vampirism, if any."

"I suspect the thin green man, Vrakath. But it could also have been whoever received the crate with Vlad in it, cleaning up loose ends."
Leaving us as the only loose ends. Rel then goes with Vale to make sure the others know what has happened.
