With her kobold companion out of the rug, Rel feels free to attack again, despite having unintentionally hurt her own ally previously.
"I am sorry, Tex! I should have been more careful while it had you smothered."
She darts into the room, ten feet west of the rug and blasts it away from Zane with a beam right at its center. Her eyes remain their usual shade, or rather the usual shade for the brown-haired woman in violet and gold trim.

"Anything else of interest in here?" If not, Rel passes Guidance back to Lana as lead scout.
"Next time we see anything remotely suspicious, I am blasting it before we get close," she mutters darkly. She is aware of feeling absurdly guilty - more than she probably should - about having inadvertently damaged Tex while he was being smothered by the rug.
Why, because he was once a slave? Just like the ex-slave you fled to freedom with, your dearest friend, now lost? That makes no sense. They are not the same and you did not enslave either of them. She shakes her head as if to clear it, avoiding eye contact with the kobold.
He will tap the floor where the carpet was, shift the couches around and quickly looks if all of the shelves are built in or is there a secret door behind it.
“Let me help you.” Tex offers Zane still embarrassed that he got himself caught by a carpet. With an occasional glare to the rug, he checks the room with Zane.

"Good idea. I feel like shooting every piece of furniture "just in case". By now I am in full support of a thorough destruction of the place. They had to tear that building apart long ago."
With boys on the case of double check of the room, Lana moved back into the corridor but asked before going any further. "So, are we walking towards the light next, or back to the stairs?"
Regardless of the answer, though, she quietly (Stealth 21) moved to the door and listened (Perception 12+3 from guidance) then checked for the traps (Investigation: 20) She would return with report of her scouting.
You begin to search the room, and while Zane prods around with out any luck, Texpoints out a spot on the floor where the rug was initially laid. A small crease in the hardwood floor that doesn't seem to follow the pattern of the rest of the boards making up the hardwood floor.

Putting your ear to the other door in the hallway, you can hear the faint sound of a seagull, possibly indicating that this door leads to something that is outside but you aren't fully certain. At it does not appear to be trapped but it does seem to be locked.
“Here’s something, some irregularity,” Tex informs Zane and the others that are nearby. “I’m not sure what it is but it could hide something, maybe a cache, maybe stairs down.” Tex draws a dagger and tries to follow the crease and outline it better. But he is careful not to cut through anything.

Tex sneezes as the sunlight from outside hits his nose. “Uh… I was actually really enjoying the break from that light. But, then if there is anything vampire-like jumping out of this, the light will help I guess.”
(For someone who might have been in contact with kobolds before, or other underground denizens:)
Tex has sunlight sensitivity which may even give him disadvantage on perception and attack rolls if he tries to discern something in direct sunlight.

Before returning Lana tried to pick the lock (15) and if successfull - add this to her report.
"Looks like the door leads outside. Do not remember a balcony or terrace on the building, but who knows. I can even hear seagulls on the other side. The door was locked, so I tried to open it."
The rug slithers towards Zane and attempts to wrap him up but fails to do so as Zane was ready to dodge any such attempt.

You can see no more remaining traces of magic in the area. I believe you were correct in 3 concentration checks. Thank you for remembering to do that
