Zane mocks the plant being and it seems to almost shed a tear, or perhaps just rotten water runs down for a moment, either way it does seem to effect the creature. Bellamy throws a fiery beam at the plant, which you would expect to ignite it but instead seems to fizzle against this rotting pile of weeds. It then lumbers forward towards Tex and LIzzy, smashing it's massive leafy appendages down onto Tex, first one strikes the ground next to the small target then a second strike collides directly with the Kobold.
Zane vicious mockery: Wis save 6 fails for 1 damage
Bellamyto hit 25: hits for 0 damage (resistant to fire so halved and rounded down to zero)

Plant monster second attack to hit Tex: 23 (Steel Defender Reaction) 24 (Silvery Barbs) 17 misses
Rel looks on with horror as her attempts to exterminate any pesky animated plants in the greenhouse instead leads to a giant, rotting abomination charging them. As Tex and his steel defender step in front of her to bear the brunt of the attack, she screams "Tex, NO!"
Thrusting out her hands instinctively, silvery-black jagged streaks of light energy flash towards the plant creature, bending reality and making the second of its blows more difficult. She herself tries to take advantage of the distraction.
We need to fall back if we can...
Rel uses her reaction to cast Silvery Barbs, forcing a re-roll of the plant creature's second attack on Tex and giving herself advantage on her next d20 roll. She uses her Fey Touched, once-per-long-rest feature so no spell slot used this time.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Tex underestimated the shear mass that this plant is bearing down on him and nearly gets crushed under the weight of its appendages. With Rel’s energy burst, the monster was long enough distracted for Tex not only to get his shield up in time but also to get his posture right to withstand the mighty blow.
In retribution, Tex sidesteps from under the shield to unbalance the pant and open an opportunity for him to strike with his spear. Liz follows Tex’ lead and moves behind the plant creature for her own attack.
Sorry, I'm beginning to enter a vacation period and while I will try to check-in at least daily, I cannot promise that I will always be able to do so. From September 1, I should be back to normal.
As the plant creature's deadly blows end up missing Tex thanks to a combination of his steel companion, her own Silvery Barbs, Zane's mocking words and the kobold's arcane shield, Rel's alarm spikes adrenaline into her system. Her grim determination grows as she sees Tex and the steel defender land perfect, coordinated attacks on the enemy, damaging it heavily.
Her irises flicker and shift from grey to black once more as the tiniest dark tendril wafts out from her earrings and touches the plant creature. So gently.
From her position at the door, she shoots her beam of energy over Tex's head, blasting the aggressive, rotting vegetation backwards ten feet.
Rel's voice, when it comes is guttural, almost croaking like some looming, dark bird. "Zane is right. We need to back away and destroy it at range where it can't hurt us. I can keep pushing it back a little, but someone grab Tex and his steel dog and pull them away."
After attacking, she heeds her own advice and backs thirty feet southwest and west along the hallway. The black tendril remains, bending around the door.
As a bonus action, Rel puts her Hexblade's Curse on the plant creature. Rel'sEldritch Blast to hit (at advantage due to Silvery Barbs): 21 Rel'sEldritch Blast plus Hexblade's Curse damage: 11 + 2 = 13 (force) Repelling Blast: plant creature pushed north 10'
Rel then retreats SW-SW-W-W-W-W along the hallway.
The mound of rotting weeds shakes for a moment as a spike of pain enters its mind. A guttural groan is heard as it shakes from the pain. It recomposes itself and dredges towards Tex once more, but with all of the chaos the group is bringing it is far too distracted to make an effective attack against the kobold. Missing with both heavy strikes.
Bellamymind sliver : 2 Int save Fails for 2 psychic damage and debuff
Plant monster attack to hit Tex: Natural 20 (Disadvantage from Zane) 9 misses
Plant monster second attack to hit Tex: 15 (Disadvanatage from Steel Guardian) 17, 15 misses
Tex uses an opening during the plant's attack move and stabs his spear deep into its body. Then, he follows his party in their retreat, while Liz covers his escape. Should the creature try to attack Tex while pulling back, Liz will deflect the attempt to the best of her abilities with an attack of her own, otherwise she dodges the wary creature. "We're coming!"
Tex: 22 (with pack tactics: 27 crit) for 17 magical piercing (Note that the advantage from pack tactics might be cancelled with disadvantage from sunlight sensitivity, I'm unsure if the creature is in direct sunlight. If so, damage would be 6 lower.)
Liz: deflects any opportunity attack on Tex, and if the plants reaction is spent Liz will attack, otherwise Liz will dodge
Liz attack: 8 (critical fail)
Both move out of the greenhouse and into the corridor as far as possible to the western side but stopping next to each and other blocking the corridor (but letting Lana pass).

Seeing Tex still battling the plant creature with his steel defender and only retreating at the last minute, Rel slides back east 20' to shoot off another beam of black energy through the door. Unfortunately, the tough angle makes it go wide.
IF Tex is knocked unconscious as a result of an opportunity attack, she will call on her father's divine grace just enough to rouse the kobold.
Rel'sEldritch Blast to hit: 9 (assuming no need to roll damage).
The plant plunges its rotting limb towards the small kobold as he runs, but misses its mark. Lizzythen attempts to gain the creatures attention with an attack of her own, only to completely miss and lose balance as the momentum of the strike carries her off kilter. Only to regain composure at the last moment. Meanwhile, Relpositions herself back to set off another beam of eldritch power but gets frustrated with the moving back and forth, only to lose her concentration and send the beam into the earth behind the creature.

"You sure the thing can get through?" The "bad compost" pile looked too big for the door frame but who knows with those animated plants. Lana shot the thing once more and stepped a little aside (three squares east, to the right corner).
You can see the heaping plant mound shake for a moment as Bellamy'sspell spikes through it's mind. The plant monster then gives chase, struggling for a moment to get through the door before standing now before the majority of you. You can smell wet, rotting vegetation now that it is indoors. Off putting to say the least but it does not sway your resolve as you stare down the creature. As the creature stops, you can hear Zane taunt it some more "Looking a little green there big fella? What happened? Did your bay leaf you?"

Tex glances back to Zane to judge the distance to the door, then commands Liz to retreat and bait the creature, so that the rest of the group may retreat safely. Then, Tex plunges his spear into the mass of vines before withdrawing to the door in front of Zane. He will, however, make space for anyone who wants to pass through the door.
Liz's Force RendAttack (Tex' BA): 22 for 8 force damage
Liz moves to the door (6 squares westwards), baiting an attack of opportunity from the plant monster
