I'll take the first lot of stats. I'm thinking half elf, if that will work with the setting, and am dithering between rogue and bard. I'll have a play and see what looks good.
You can do what you like, but a rogue sounds pretty fun to add to the mix. Might leave us short on some arcane magic, but that's okay. We'll figure that part out.
A druid might help add some more tankiness to the party---and I realize that making use of portent may be difficult with post-by-post play for helping my allies.
But if ya'll think we'll be fine, I can stay wizard
Ive played a few similar roles, and for new combo things i wait to see whos in init then just PM that player before that turn comes up. Like Nschrock said, do not worry about leaving any gaps. Thats the part that makes it fun!
I think wizard is great, and portent is great, although you may need some teamwork and patience. Maybe even post beforehand "if so-and-so does blah, I use my portent roll"
We're probably good on tankiness between a fighter and a cleric, but I'm sure nobody wants to force you into playing something you don't want to play.
OK, if it suits, I'm going with the Half Elf Rogue - gambler background, with a view to picking the Scout archetype later. It's not a bard/rogue, but will end up like a rogue ranger at some point. :D
Just working on backstory etc now, but the character sheet is in the campaign.
I'll go with a druid for this run, then! Don't need to change the background I had for them too much due to what they are.
A seer that talks with/interacts with their ancestors for guidance, taking from their knowledge to take the shape of beasts of old, or to gain talents they otherwise might not have.
I have a discord login but I haven't used it before. One of the other PbP games I'm in has a private message group on here which is used for the off-topic discussion and out-of-story stuff, and that seems to work well too.
FYI, I've included my backstory on my character sheet, but a brief summary - Cariadne is on the run from the organised crime ring she used to work for. She's ended up in Daven's Falls to keep a low profile and is killing time before she can safely head back to the city.
So has any one used discord? May be useful for us for fast table talk. If not thats ok also
I like discord, but not everyone does. I have set one up on occasion just for taking notes on highly involved lore campaigns. It's easier to search for names etc
Am i missing anything? Like is there another thread for gameplay? Just dont want to be that guy. Was there boxed text tuat i missed about what Daven's hollow is?

Haven't seen a game thread yet. There's some info about Daven's Falls in the campaign page, but not a lot.
Ok sweet. Thank you. I thought there had been some more info on it. Either way i think itd be a learning experience for Barbär to explore this town more if given the chance.
Im in the US. EST. Just in case anyone else was wondering

Past characters:
Cariadne - Forest of Celador
Daphyra Fuffletail - The City of Cats
DM - Geek Legends - Wild beyond the Witchlight
Leela Steadystone - Adventures in the Sands
Mirri Goldenhorn - Journeys through the Radiant Citadel
Lola Smythe-Whyte - Larkin Expedition
Daphyra - Deathworld: Lost Mine of Phandelver
Vanja - Binder's Hold and the Problem with the Mine
Lol as long as it makes sense you could learn a bit of both. Never know what will happen at the table.
Actually, thinking on it, I might want to play as a druid instead if a moon druid is okay, DM.
So a fighter, cleric, druid, and rogue/bard?

Yeah, I was just making vague ideas.
Coriana - Company of the Grey Chain
Wagner - Dragon Heist: Bards.
DM - The Old Keep
There are plenty of half-elves

I do, just matters if the dm wants to set that up?
