Still wondering how Maz is doing since the events beneath the tree, Marley looks up from focusing on his food occasionally, in effort to keep an eye on him.
"Well it was the 1 human. And with the mist and my illness I could not leave my hallow so I'm not sure where he went.
He came to use a few weeks back saying he was with the conclave and needed to communicate with the tree sprit. So I let him in. A few hours later he came out young. I thought I was someone different at first but there is only one way in and out of the root tunnel. I wanted to question him but I was already feeling week by that point and he pushed right past me and left the hallow.
I did hear him mumble something about now having the strength nessory to gather the peices but that's all I remember."

Maz looks like he always does maybe a bit sweaty from the fight but he seems real fixated on the dagger he is holding.
Maz darts his eyes to Sam. While he looks the same, theres a bit more aggression behind his movements. He eyes Sam for a moment, then gives a wry smile.
"No." He says flatly, "This dagger was meant for me." He sheaths the dagger on his waste, and turns to the group.
"It appears we should be off to Grandmother willow then?" He says with little to no emotion in his tone.
Finishing lunch the party gathers their things and makes ready to go. Just before yall hit the trail for the few hour walk back the dryad disappears and reappears with a small bag of berries.
These berries only grow on this tree they have the ability to calm and open one's mind to new possibilities. Careful though too many at once and you run the risk of seeing nature as it once was.
(DM: The bag contains 10 berries each one can restore 1 spell level. The more you eat a day the more you are likely to receive the negative consequences
(Was there anything yall wanted to do here or on the way back?)
Heading back to Grandmother Willows cabin the group takes a detour in the area you left Bon Bon. Approaching the hole you left him you start to see wolve prints every where. Fearing the worst the party picks up its place to find a battle feild. At least a dozen wolves lie dead all around and a lone Bon Bon with his arms still bound sits at the base of the tree. Surprisingly without a scratch on him.
Ah welcome back.... mind cutting me loose?
With Bon Bon free the party continues down the path towards the hut.
Maz eyes the wolves and then walks to the closest one. He kneels down and unsheathes his new dagger. He quietly mumbles something to himself… or the dagger? He then stabs into the wolf, leaving the blade in there for a few long moments, before pulling it out and returning to his spot in the group as if nothing happened.
Bon Bon looks embarrassed. I'm not sure I woke up and they where already dead. I looking down at his feet stained with blood. I'm guessing I kicked them. But I have little memory of the past... few hours? Last I remember I was walking with you towards a fog bank. How did I end up here.
As Maz is by the wolf it shrivel up to a husk as if all the blood was drained from it.
For Maz.
I perfer fresh bloods... but this will do for now. I since many creatures not far from here. Tonight feed me there.

Sam asks, "Can I see that dagger for a moment?"

“Lets go then if we’re ready.”
If I haven’t offended you, don’t worry. I’m sure I’ll get to you eventually.
Sam, a little taken aback, nods. "Off to Grandmother's it is."
D&D since 1984
Marley frowns but nods in agreement. Finishing up his salad, he gathers his gear and gets ready to go.
Maz walks with the group. Instead of filling the silence with song or conversation, he is content to walk quietly, not saying a word.
Crunchface thinks ‘unusual’ but says nothing as he’s not an expert on other species behavior.

(I think we're good to go)

(check on Bon Bon on the way back)
(Maz is focused on Grandmother and would likely have forgotten Bon Bon, but will follow the group wherever they go.)
(LOL glad you didn't forget him)

Crunchface thinks that’s very suspicious. Maybe Bon Bon is really good at headbutts?

"What happened with the wolves back there?" Marley asks Bon Bon curiously.

You feel a pull in the direction of Willows hut.
