Unless Sam has any objection, Marley also nods in agreement. He tries not to show it but he's anxious to be away from the Mayor's office as soon as possible.
Mayor: Great, let's hope it's good news but we are never that lucky here in the belt. I'm expecting bandits or goblins. The deal is discover what happened my people and your free. Deal with what ever caused it and I'll pay you..... 400 gold. Seems like a fair price. Good luck. He waves his hand leaving to room for negotiation.
After being dismissed the guards escort you out of the Mayor's Manor. The door shuts behind you.
Before the party enters the tavern, Marley says to Maziara, "Maybe best you ask the questions, find out more that way?"
If there's any type of breakfast that could be ordered quickly (like bread, and especially any coffee or tea available) he'll order that and then walks over to study the jobs board.
Marley for the cost if a sliver you get coffee and a Jonny cake with jam.
Also as you walk to the bar the barkeep raises an eye brow at you.
Some show yall put on last night. Never sold so much ale in a singe day before.... Got something for you. Morazan told me to give ye a bottle io the good stuff. He sets a bottle of sarsaparilla on the bar.
DM: The drink grants inspiration (advantage on any, attack, check or save you choose). The inspiration point is lost if you don't use it before a short or long rest.
Maziara nods to Marley. “Sure thing!” He says happily. He loves talking with people after all.
He heads into the bar and orders a light breakfast as well. As he orders he chats with the bar tender. “Hey! Thanks for letting me perform last night. It’s always an honor to perform at the local tavern. Unfortunately, the incident with the mayors son got us in a bit of a bind.” Maziara laughs lightly, trying to get the bar tender interested in conversation this fine crisp morning.
Jorick: No problem you earned me good coin. Stage is always open when ue in town
Eh let me guess you earned a ticket to the stump? Have ti do some task to get out of it. It's his MO. Don't get me wrong you did break the law and these tasks usually do help the town quite a bit. But I've never seen him kill anyone. Usually just a few weeks in a cell if ye refuse. The bounty threat is real though if he hit ya with that.

What do you do now?
Crunchface looks to the others and says. “Well. Should we get going?”
If I haven’t offended you, don’t worry. I’m sure I’ll get to you eventually.
"Yes, maybe start at the tavern?" Marley suggests as he rubs his chin.

“To the tavern!” Maziara says cheerfully before skipping off toward the tavern, humming a little tune as he goes.
The party makes its way cross the square back to the tavern. The town seem alot quieter now the caravan is gone.
Walking into the Tavern there are 6 people in the establishment.
The barkeep.
The Bouncer.
A group of 3 men eating at a table near the bar.
You also see a jobs board you had not see before next to the door.
There are two requests. *Talk to the barkeep dir mire details or to take the job.
1st: BOUNTY FOR THE BIG BAD WOLF.
- There is a large wolf near my far its eating all my little pigs. I'll bay 200 gold for you to kill it and bring me its pelt. - Farmer John Brown
2nd: Needed 2 lb of Nettle's Bane
- The caravan had no Nettles Bane and I'm running dangerously low. I'll pay 20 gold per pound delivered to the General Store. - Bo
