"Oh, that's ok. Not everything about me is exciting either." Crispy's eyes widened to the size of dinner plates as Ary held the lute in front of her. Crispy's blades were exquisite, and if they could talk, would tell tales over the years of death, revenge, justice, and luck. But this musical instrument was impressive. Crispy's blades did not..could not..invoke anything magical. She was truly impressed. "I wouldn't know the first thing to do with something so..different. So amazing."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Tyberius deftly slides underneath the blade, before flinging his hands forward and casting magic missile, causing four silvery darts to fly from his hands, all striking Marek in the chest
"Everybody has their thing, mine is music, yours is fighting. The way you evaded Monolith was amazing, I thought for a second he would hit you but somehow you did some maneuvers out of nowhere and evaded his fist. That's something I would love to do".
Crispy smirked and made a silly face indicating it was no big deal. "Thanks. That's what getting beat up all your life, mixed in with some very intense military training yields. He was no big deal, i've taken on guys twice his size. It's all momentum, and using it to your advantage. I had to steer him away from you, too, we're sitting close together, I didn't want to see you hit, either. It's crazy, it's like i'm all instinct when the pressure is on." She took another gulp of her drink. "I guess we have talents we admire in one another." She said as she looked at the curves of Ary's lute. "You could play music for us, and I can make sure no one hurts you, for example."
She smiles, and paused for a moment to contemplate an idea. She slowly rolled up her sleeve. On her arm, as she twisted it around, were scars of past battles that had left their mark on her physically. She gave Ary a look as if to say she could be trusted, but there was a tinge of sadness in her voice. "And that's just my arm."
"You should wear those with pride, you're a survivor, a really strong survivor. We all have what I like calling "choruses" in our lives, sometimes they repeat two or three times until the song ends, then another song comes with a different chorus, maybe happier or sadder than the previous one but when it ends remember a song isn't made of just a chorus, there's more to it. Sorry if that's stupid or doesn't make sense at all but that's how I try seeing things". She replied to Crispy, looking at the tavern's atmosphere
"I could do something better, hold on". Says Ary as she tunes her lute half step down and literally starts playing and singing an acoustic version of Metallica - The Day that Never Comes (this is canon now BTW thanks moon) while she plays some kind of glowing energy surrounds her making her glow slightly. This faint glow then moves and surrounds Arc, Monolith and Crispy.
Ary spends one use of Bardic Inspiration to use Mantle of Inspiration, Arc, Crispy and Monolith now gain 5 temporary hit points.
You guys now feel slightly better, the glow then dissappears.
"I don't think that sounds stupid." Crispy reassured her. "I've only known you a short time, and yet..you've given me so much to think about."
When the song ends, Crispy feels...better. Stronger. She looks at Arc and smiles, winking. Never in her life did she imagine music would be part of her life, in a place where she didn't belong to, yearning to get back home to a life much worse than this.
Crispy's intuition kicked in for a moment, and she looked towards the door. She turned back to Ary and said "Yeah, but those other two outside need to learn how to fight." she joked. She thought about going outside, but prefered the company of the elf and the goblin.
Her mind wandered a bit, deciding how much to open herself up, for most of it was all doom and gloom. While the violence, despair, and fear in the first part of her life wasnt her fault, much of it in the second part of her life was. She enjoyed talking to them both, as they werent people trying to kill her, trick her, or bully her.
She could see that Arc liked being around them both, he seemed a bit inside himself, probably from being around books his whole life. For a moment she envied him, too, but nevertheless enjoyed his company, again, fascinated by a goblin who was pleasant and intellectual. That wasnt seen back home.
"Let's hope they get enough practice before it's too late, after all remember that this is an important job, we could be escorting something somewhere instead of having this opportunity" Said Ary obviously trying to get her teammets focused on the job.
"Hasn't happened yet, and it won't be by YOUR hand, that's for sure." She calls back out, unimpressed. She turns to Ary and Arc. "Boy, I thought I had some anger issues. He's messing with the wrong person."
Crispy shot Ary a look, as if to say, "It's ok. Don't worry. I got this."
Crispy's gaze doesn't waver as Monolith stares into the depths of her soul. If he looked closely enough, he could peer deep inside her soul, and see just how dangerous she was, and the nightmares in her life that made her that way.
"How can I take your money?" Was all she said in return, holding the stare.

Struck by several point blank shots, one skimming by his rib cage, Marek clutches his chest and laughs,
"Great shot, friend!"
He then flourishes his weapon and strikes a second time, sending more bolts of electricity sparking off the blade with each swing.

"True." Crispy said, casually. "This will be no big deal. I've dealt with much worse. To be honest i'm anxious to start and crack this case."
having listened to the conversation Monolith calls behind to crispy
Don't be to cocky Missy, thats when you suddenly find yourself dead! And I'm sure that would be an inconvenience to you.
"Alright Monolith, let's talk. I feel like we started with the wrong foot, what got you so mad? ".

I can still hear you, you know.
Monolith throws down his hand gets up, I was losing any way.
He looks Crispy in the eye, for a full 10 seconds before he starts to laugh.
I like you, full of confidence, let's make a bet.
"Oh boy... here we go again". Whispers to herself.
