It takes a bit for Rylia to settle in on what to wear. She removes the blouse and loose-fitting pants from last night, casting a quick glance over at Bryn to make sure he's not watching. They had been soaked thoroughly in the pouring rain last night and were hardly in any condition to be worn at the moment. Instead, she chooses first the blue skirt, slipping it on and pulling it up over her hips. She smiles as she sees how nicely it fits, and swirls about, watching it billow out just a tiny bit, the narrow design allowing a little movement but not too much. "Ooo! This is rather nice!" she exclaims, making a second spin in the opposite direction. About then, she realizes she's still topless, and she rapidly grabs one of the linen shirts she'd had her eye on. It was a light greyish color, a nice compliment to the blue skirt. She holds it up over her chest, anxious for a moment. "You're not peeking, are you?" she says to Bryn with a little laugh. She then very quickly slips it on, buttoning it up but leaving the top few undone.
It is about then that there is a knock and a voice from behind the door. "Hello? We're here." She casts Bryn a quick look. "Come in." She snatches up one of the jackets - a small, dark-colored one that also compliments the skirt. For now she just holds onto it and she watches the door, a tiny bit nervous. Without realizing, she takes a few small steps back, inching a bit closer to Bryn.
"Hi, hello! Good morning! I'd just like to check that you're all right. And also let you know that if you want some warm food, we can serve you downstairs, in the tavern, ok?" Says the voice outside, without opens the door.
Brother Coltinar bows to the Deacon as they finish their business, "Dol Arrah's light be with you."
"Let's head over to the next spot Arr, Paladin.. Time is a wasting as they say."
Once outside,"I was hoping that our information would be of more use to the temple than the Deacon seemed to think it was. Bureaucracy slows thing down, but I guess it weeds out the trivial stuff. We did our duty though. Ok, over to the tavern it is then."
Bryn selected the leather pants, a plain linen shirt, and a dark green vest to change into. While he waited for Rylia to finish her bath he cleaned his weapons and laid them out on the bed. When his friend came out of the small bathroom in just a towel, he started blushing and turned his back so she could change. He heard her putting on clothes and then exclaim, "Ooo! This is rather nice!"
He turned to see what she was talking about and realized that she was, indeed, topless! Even though his face was a mask of a half-elf, the bright red color of his cheeks and heat from this round of blushing was real and uncontrollable! He gulped and turned back around. "You're not peeking, are you?" Rylia says with a little laugh from behind him. His breathless response may have given away his lie...
Luckily, the knocking and voice from outside provided the distraction he needed to recover from his awkward embarrassment. After grabbing his weapons from the bed, the invitation to come down for something hot helped his heartrate to finally slow a bit. "We're just fine, thank you! We'll be down in a few minutes..." Bryn suddenly finds that he had lost his nerve to reveal his true nature to Rylia...but swears that he will before long. He looks back at his friend and sees her standing closer to him. Turning fully around, he takes her hand and says, "Come on - it's a new day and we've got a second chance at life. I don't want to miss any more of our new life!"
"Yes, a new life!" Rylia says enthusiastically. With Bryn leading her by the hand she heads down, eager to grab some hot food. She also hopes the mysterious voice behind the door might be revealed once they open the door. Is this the person that rescued them or just someone working at the Broken Anvil?
While Braxiel is in the University looking for some aditional information about Bonel´s Journal, and Coltinar, Paladin and R4G3 is leaving the Citadel of Sun towards to the Broken Anvil, Bryn and Rylia are starting their new day after a near-death experience, and without any information about how and why they are here.
Bryn opens the room´s door with Rylia right beside him. Outside the door, a halfling in a white blouse and black skirt, with beautiful blue hair, big blue eyes, and a warm smile was waiting. "Hello, I hope I didn't bother you. As you don't know our establishment, I came to welcome you. I hope you had a good rest and I believe you will appreciate our menu"
//---Assuming you are going to follow the Halfling---// You are facing a small corridor, with two other doors, one on each side. The Halfling goes ahead and at the end of this corridor there is a beatifull spiral staircase. Going downstairs you reach a main door that leads to what appears to be a passage to a bridge in outside. As Bryn and Rylia cross the passage, they realize that they are crossing a small bridge, with the city below it. You cross this small bridge and the little Halfling opens another door which, strangely enough, leads to another room, furnished and well decorated, as you can see as you pass quickly.
You leave through what will be the main door of this room and Rylia realizes that the place they came from is a kind of alternative passage - maybe a secret one? Bryn seems focused, but indeed, he stops to think when heard about the menu.
You reach another corridor, this one longer, with 5 other doors besides the one in the room from where you left. You cross this hall arriving in a saloon with a few round tables being set by a young male Hafling. "Sorry for this strange path. I thought should be more discrete do not come from the main entrance." Says the Halfling while stepping away for a moment.
In the back, on the left side, there is a bar, and right in front of it a door that, due to the movement coming from there, seems to be the kitchen. In the center, a small stage. The entire establishment has a decor that mixes lots of wood with modern touches and it seems to work really well. The soft, yellow lighting brings a nice, cozy feel. Smooth jazz plays softly in the background. "You can choose any table you want. At this time, when we are past the peak of breakfast and have not yet arrived at lunch, we are quite calm." The Halfling says while coming back holding the menu. "By the way, I am Savine, at your disposal. Take your time to choose, and call me when you are ready," she says as she hands you the menu.

//---I´m assuming that Bryn and Rylia bring their stuff from the room---//
Bryn watches the path they take closely - he loved secret rooms and hidden passages! He also kept stealing glances at Rylia - he was suddenly more observant of his longtime companion and friend...
Once in the tavern proper and with a menu in hand, Bryn relaxes. He follows Rylia to a table and orders the Druid's Omelette, coffee, and a glass of fruit juice. "Savine, your hospitality and thoughtfulness are beyond compare. Were you the one who brought us in last night? If not, can you introduce us to the person or people who did? We would like to personally thank them." He digs a gold coin out of his coin holder and places it in the halfling's hand as he gives her his best smile.
(OOC: LOVE the menu! Nice touch =) And yes, Bryn brought his weapons with him - about all he has left with the back being ripped off by the second warforged assailant =)
"Oh, no sir, was not me. Actually, I don't know how you arrived yesterday. I got a late-night message from Mr. Skyryn to prepare the guest room. you entered through the outer passage, from the bridge entrance, the one we went through to come here. Then Mr. Skyryn came to me to leave instructions for this morning. He was with Cleric Norah, they had a drink and gone. He's not here right now, but I'm guessing they'll come later, as Mr. Skyryn asked to prepare the private room for a meeting later."
When Bryn hands over the coin Savine smiles kindly, "Thank you, sir, don't bother. You are guests of Mr. Skyryn, it's a pleasure to serve you!"
(OOC: Yeah, I like the menu ! I want to add prices on it and print to my presencial games :-) )
Arr walks the streets of Sharn in high spirits, they feel like now they belong. Even though, their application form papers are only the first of probably many steps before they get real documents, but it is a first step in the right direction. While they are unsure where that direction will lead, they feel that it is right. Also, finally they can wave something at the guards should they ask for papers.
“We’re so fortunate to have met you, Brother Coltinar. We feel like we’re improving every day and adapt better and better to society. Thank you so much for your constant help and assistance.”

Sorry, I'm beginning to enter a vacation period and while I will try to check-in at least daily, I cannot promise that I will always be able to do so. From September 1, I should be back to normal.
Brother Coltinar replies as they make their way to the Broken Anvil, "You have both progressed very well my friends. You are both close to no longer needing my assistance. Trust in yourselves and the Lights of your Faiths.
Paladin seems to be a little further along on his journey in that regard. While you are both free to go and do on your own there are many dangers in a city. It is always better to travel in groups than alone.
So, just because you may no longer need my assistance integrating into society as much now. We are always friends and friends like to look out for each other. We should all remember that. As a group we provide peace in numbers. As individuals we are targets of opportunity for bandits. The Light will protect us when it can. The Light of Dol Arrah shines on corruption to weed out the evil in society. May the Light of Dol Arrah be with us. Amen.
Let's see I think we are getting closer to the tavern. Ah just ahead."
Thinking, "Brother Coltinar is proud of Paladin and Arr. They have both done well. In the same way a parent would be proud of their child he muses. I guess in a way they are my adopted family in a sense. A distant family he chuckles."

Rylia is content to be lead hand-in-hand by Bryn as they follow the halfling that had greeted them at the room. Intent in studying their surroundings as they go, she mostly misses Bryn's glances. Only as they enter tavern does she note him glance over, and wonders for a brief moment if he was trying to alert her to something. But soon they are seated and given menus and nothing seems amiss.
Her voice lowered a bit as she studies the menu, she tells Bryn, "There are so many wonderful options. I'm not sure how to decide!" Eventually she orders the Elemental Waffle Tower and an herbal tea. "What about these invigorating potions," she asks. "Those sound interesting."
Once Savine steps away, Rylia looks over at Bryn, "Who do you suppose this Mr. Skyryn is? Or Cleric Norah. Guess we still have to wait to find out."
Few minutes later, the young male Hafling brings the orders: "A Druid's Omelette, coffee, and a glass of fruit juice for the Sir, and an Elemental Waffle Tower and an herbal tea for the Miss", he says. And these is our Gnome's Delight: Warm cinnamon rolls smothered in a decadent cream cheese icing, served with a side of fresh fruit, from the house, enjoy"
Bryn cannot suppress his childlike grin at the smell of hot coffee and the cinnamon rolls! In response to Rylia's questions, he says, "I bet they are who that middle-aged guy told us would have answers about the murder last night. Let's enjoy this meal but keep our eyes and ears open. If we're truly about to embark on a mission or adventure, then at some point I need to go to my apartment and grab my bow, quiver, and some other gear I keep ready. What about you - anything back at our building that you would want to have with us?"
Rylia looks from her plate of waffles over to the rolls. She takes in a deep breath, inhaling the scent of the delicious cinnamon rolls. "Oh my! Everything looks so good. I'm not sure I'll be able to resist eating all of this." She looks over at Bryn, giving him a grin. "I mean my portion. I won't steal any of yours." She playfully elbows him and digs into her meal, starting with the huge tower of waffles.
She looks introspective as Bryn asks about the apartment. "Well, I think I've got most of what I need here"' she says thoughtfully. "You think it would be safe going back? They got what they wanted right? You don't think they'll come back after us again do you?" For a moment there's a concerned look on her face as she eats a few more bites from her plate. She then smiles suddenly, spearing one of the cinnamon rolls with her fork and dropping it onto her plate. "Aw, let's just enjoy this!"
She glances about, looking to see where the soft sound of jazz is coming from. "I wonder who's playing that music."
Braxiel will stop in the walkway and turn back, "One more thing, can you point me in the right direction for protection/attack spells, since I am going into the field I want to protect myself." Now the worry is obvious on Braxiel's face and the statement is more of a plea.
While researching the spells that could help him better protect himself, Braxiel found a sector of the University Library dedicated to dragonmarks, a subject he has a special appreciation for to better understand. He found some information about aberrant marks, some about the internal disputes of some houses - He remembered that he had already studied something about the war of the marks and the disputes within House Canith. For some reason, one book in particular caught his attention: it was about a rebellion that spawned House Thuranni from an offshoot of House Phiarlan. He felt a strange connection, perhaps due to the fact that these houses were founded by Elves. Braxiel knows that Phiarlan is a house of entertainment composed of bards, actors, artists, and acrobats. But, he didn't want to lose his focus now, nor get distracted so he grabbed some books to study later and turned his attention to Bonel's Diary. What the hell information would there be in that? His master hadn't been much help, and with his knowledge, Braxiel couldn't figure out how to bypass the arcane magic he knew was there. Information swarmed through his mind and he knew he needed to decide. What to do now?
After finding the only three spells the campus magic section had that dealt with damage or protection, Braxiel will take his newfound knowledge and pack away the book about the Phiarlan house and the divide that lead to the Thuranni feeling some kind of attachment and leaving the campus. He knew that this would probably be the last time he was going to be there for a while and a slight tear formed thinking of all his fond memories there but also a smile grows on his face knowing that he will get to bring new knowledge that others may have been too scared to gather.
Braxiel will go to the cafe where he is to meet his newfound friends.
Coltinar, Paladin, and R4G3 walk to go down one level below Upper City, looking for Mason´s tower, and chatting about the challenges of life, faith, and friendship.
As they descend the last block of stairs leading to Middle City, Paladin, distracted by their conversation, fumbles, and stumbles, nearly rolling down the stairs. Luckily, R4G3 was ahead and avoided the fall, and the three ended up laughing at the situation.
Paladin still hadn't realized how many obstacles this city had. So many narrow bridges, stairs, and floating decks. On the battlefield, everything was flatter! He has been improving his training to become more agile to overcome obstacles, but it has not that easy. Training to improve your strength skills is much more fun.

Coltinar comments, "Look out boys. The contours of the city sometimes sneak up on us. You'll have to look down up and all around within the city as you travel. Good advise for even myself."
Giving a chuckle.
"With this city so elevated in design we will be wise to move with purpose and sureness of step."
"Let's make our way to the establishment with care."

If we're truly about to embark on a mission or adventure, then at some point I need to go to my apartment and grab my bow, quiver, and some other gear I keep ready. What about you - anything back at our building that you would want to have with us?"
Love God. Love Others. Any Questions?
