Lola looks a little abashed at Jesse's reply. "Of course, sir, I do not mean to impose..."
At Aiden's question, she turns to him. "It is only... all this talk of treasures got me thinking. I am quite good at opening things... things that are locked. But I did not bring tools for that particular purpose. It is of no matter though, I'm sure I can improvise with the scientific equipment I did bring along with me, or pull something together over the next few days rather than purchasing new tools. I thank you for your offer of assistance."
The british gentleman listens attentively as the folklorist mentions a death cult and that a member of the expedition might be a cultist. He gives Mr. Hughes a nod of confirmation about visiting the university. "Meeting Professor Sanchez will be my pleasure Mr Hughes. Any idea why Larkin didn't want him along?"

"I guess I'll be joining you too, Mr. Hughes," chimed in Ed regarding the museum meeting. He hoped he wouldn't be late--if they weren't leaving on the expedition right away, then he fully intended to spend some time performing for a bit of coin.
"No I am not from New York. I was born and bred in Stratford Connecticut. Though I do travel often. I think Larkin sees Professor Sanchez as a threat of some kind. Though I don't know why. In regards to the death cult that is just my educated guess and so far I have not seen any strange uniforms, emblems, or insignia of any kind." says Jesse Hughes.
He then stands "Shall we head back to the hotel Maury? I am also staying at the same Hotel."
Mr. Devereaux you sense that Jesse Hughes believes the professor may be in danger if Larkin and de Mendoza learn that the party is seeing him tomorrow. You also figure that Jesse Hughes is still hiding something.

The british gentleman nods to the folklorist and gets up to join him walking back to their hotel. With the mention of secrets and threats, James finds himself more alert and wary of his surroundings. If there was any truth in what the folklorist suspected they could very well be watched even now by those who had an unhealthy interest in the expedition.
"Shall we head back to the hotel Maury? I am also staying at the same Hotel."
Edward shrugged and smiled. "Might as well, if business is officially concluded." Standing to walk back with Hughes, he asked the others, "So, anyone else have any plans for this evening? I might like to spend it just getting a feel for the city, myself." The young man had no intention of getting into trouble, but did plan on seeing what local venues were available to ply his craft.
There are still people out at night on the sidewalk going about there business. Nothing seems amiss as you walk back towards your hotel though Mr. Devereaux notices that there is a white man who looks at the party a tad longer than expected, among a crowd of people walking on the sidewalk coming from the opposite direction.
The man continues to walk past the party taking a few looks back, but keeps on going.

Lola nods at Jesse when he suggests returning to the hotel and stands up with the group. As the others start to discuss their plans for the evening, she tells them she will be working on putting together some extra tools to bring on the expedition.
She looks around her as they head back to the hotel, with an air of suppressed excitement, like a child on their first visit to the zoo.

Taking note of the mysterious man and tries to commit his appearance to memory. He's not convinced of the others' agendas yet but hearing Lola mentioning the man to the folklorist makes him relax somewhat with her at least. He had brought a hunting rifle but he hadn't expected anything sinister or dangerous while still in Lima. Still wary of his surroundings, James continues with the others.
Jesse Hughes worriedly looks at the man. "Damn, tomorrow try to be discreet when everyone heads to the university. Meander about a bit and try not to be followed." whispers Jesse.
The rest of the walk was uneventful and you reach your hotel.
"Have a goodnight everyone and I will see each of you tomorrow." says Jesse as he heads for his room
"Well, that's an interesting twist," muttered Edward under his breath as he tried not to look in the direction of the man the others had been talking about. "Too bad he's left; otherwise I might have tried to lure him into an alley and ask him what's what. Could have even taken the scrapper here with me." He jerked his thumb towards Aiden.
"That said, I'm starting to rethink how safe it is to be out and about alone. So... if any of you wish to go out tonight, I'd be happy to accompany you, just to check things out. I'm not going to bed for a few hours anyway, and the thought of being stuck in my room reading the paper is hardly appealing."
James would politely explain to the others that he too would call it a night after having a long travel here to Lima, returning to his room, cleaning himself up, lying awake pondering todays events for a while before going to sleep, nightmares of the trenches still haunting him as regular as clockwork but now with the added dark shapes of death cultists in the corner of his vision.

Edward does not see anything that fits the bill beyond a nearby park, though he would need to find a way to draw a crowd.
Lola catches up to Jesse as they walk. "Sir, I think we may be attracting some attention. There is someone watching us."
She subtly indicates the man who was taking an interest.
