Katerielle looks from the pit to the dwarf's body, then responds to Kit. "Probably. I can't see the other brother not doing something before leaving. If he left under his own power.... Got a tunnel down there." Katerielle will point towards the tunnel in the pit.
The party has come to the location on the map drawn by Gundren to hopefully save his brothers from his fate. Upon arriving, the party found one dead dwarf, killed by violence, abandoned in a makeshift camp. A rope leads down into a pit where another tunnel can be seen leading further inside.
Leek's attempts to contact local critters or wildlife living in the cave fails, as the cave seems unnaturally devoid of them. The rhythmic booming every couple minutes from some source deeper in the depths is becoming a constant irritant.
The situation seems ominous.
What do you all do? Bring the dwarf to Phandalin to be identified and given a funeral? Explore further in the caves? Any other ideas?

" I think we should head in, try and find more dwarves. Hopefully alive." Katerielle will say while lighting her lantern and trying to figure out any natural causes for the crashing wave sound that is so irritatingly repetitious.
Katerielle will explain what she may know to the others between blasts.
"This repetitive noise sounds like natural geysers. Expect hot, humid. Any water may be boiling hot, steam will be scalding. There may be the smell of sulphur or other gases."
There is no standing water, and the walls of the cavern are not dripping water either. Elila drops her torch down the twenty feet into the pit below, and easily climbs down using the hemp rope.

Once Elila is down, Katerielle will haul up the rope. She attaches the lantern towards the bottom of the rope and carefully lowers it back down. She then moves on to climbing down herself. At the bottom she retrieves the lantern and pulls out her scimitar, clearing away from the rope for the others to come down.

Katerielle will move over to the rope dangling into the pit section. She looks around to see if she can see anything in the pit.
