Rindelk and Leek climb down the rope into the pit below. Leek tries to reach out to contact small critters that would make a cave like this their home, but there are none to find, which is unnatural.
The pit has two exits, one tunnel leading north-west and one tunnel heading east.
((Are there any drag marks, dwarf sized boot prints, blood trails? I guess I am asking what kind of tracks and who, what, and how were they left? Looking for what's not the same as the other. If Katerielle can tell.))
With your Survival, you can discern creatures wearing shoes/boots and others without shoes/boots traveled both ways, back and forth. There's lots of recent traffic.
(There's no clue that will inform you which direction to go.)
"We have humanoid or creatures in boots and bare foot going and coming both ways. I doubt the brothers would be walking around barefoot. Can any of you identify what type of creature left those footprints?" Katerielle will ask the others as she tries her hair up and gives it a tug.
"No clue, huh? Well lets head through the one closest to the outside (S&T, 12&13). Maybe we can get a solid end side behind us and progress from there. Protect our behinds kind of thing." Katerielle will ask the others.
Katerielle begins to walk east and Elila quickly places herself in front.
Once through the tunnel, the cavern beyond opens up to a height of nearly 30 feet or so, further beyond. Directly in front, is a carved hall branching to Elila's left. (See Roll20)
Elila turns to whisper to Katerielle and accidentally looks at the flame of Katerielle's torch, night blinding herself. Katerielle peeks over Elila's shoulder and sees a carved hallway proceed (northward) for 30 or so feet before branching. Looking the other way (east), the cavern with the 30 foot ceiling appears to have several intersecting hallways.
Leek will climb down. Will look for more animals down here.
