This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
(There's no long rest and you are all in the main room with the brazier. During the hour Leek bathes his scimitar in the green flame, the rest of the party feels rejuvenated (aka, long rest) and levels up to 4)
After bathing the scimitar in the green flame, it is evident the magic imbued itself in the blade. But when Leek pulls it out, the magic begins to drip out of the blade, albeit slowly.
(It is a +1 scimitar for 14 hours.)
(Leek attacking without the party would require a sleight of hand versus their passive perception. I will roll the sleight of hand now to keep things moving.

Combat Order:
Leek @W15 : 23
Spectator @X14 : 21
Rindelk @V11 : 19
Elila @ S16: 12
Katerielle @U17 : 10
(Good luck! I'm not pulling punches.)
Leek pulls the scimitar (added +1 for the new bonus, but a 13 misses) out of the green flame, and with a baleful look at the floating creature, tries to strike it with the enchanted weapon. Unfortunately, the Spectator is watching Leek intently, him being the closest to the brazier. It easily floats out of the reach of the scimitar.
"THIEVES! I guard. You will all die," it screeches painfully in your minds.
Paralyzing ray vs. Leek, DC 13 CON saving throw: 10
Katerielle's face turns sour at Leeks surprise attack but she knew passifying the guardian was beyond her. She would have to aid the gnome in killing the creature if she wanted a chance at surviving. Sadly this probably meant the end of the groups trust for one another and an end either way the fight resolved.
Katerielle casts Moonbeam on the guardian trying not to catch party members in it.
Leek is disappointed (but not at all surprised) that a Goliath would side with an evil creature and abandon his friends in such a cowardly manner, but such is life. How he misread the Goliath's eyes is beyond him right now, but he needs to deal with his own cowardice at not having attacked this creature immediately when he first saw it...
(Sorry all, just playing character..)
If it's Leek's turn, he will transform into a Direwolf.
Rindelk, surprised by Leek's unprompted attack, quickly launches a firebolt. A bit too quick, as it whizzes between some eye stalks, but only hits the far wall.
END OF ROUND 1
Leek doesn't feel comfortable fighting with a scimitar, magical or not. He transforms into a direwolf, leaps and bites into the creature, dragging it down to floor level.

Both Leek and Elila are bathed in the beams briefly as they dodge, feeling the strength of the effect, but shrugging it off.
(Rindelk, Elila and Katerielle's turns. Order doesn't matter.)
"The creature did nothing to you, allowed you to use this magical place, and in return you attack it?!" Elila asks incredulous.

Elila straps on her shield, disengages from the eye beast. Walks out the door and shuts it.

Creature CON Saving throw vs. Moonbeam DC 13: 20
As the moonbeam bathes the creature in radiant light, the creature sneers at the novice attempt...
(uses it's reaction to reflect the spell on Katerielle)
Katerielle DC 13 CON Saving Throw: 9
... and the light of the Moonbeam is reflected and focused back on Katerielle for 5 radiant damage.
Katerielle CON Saving Throw to maintain concentration on Moonbeam: 18
Then two of the eyestalks find targets and beams spring forth...
Wounding Ray vs. Direwolf Leek; DC 13 CON Saving Throw: 20
Paralyzing Ray vs. Katerielle; DC 13 CON Saving Throw: 7
Katerielle manages to maintain concentration on her Moonbeam spell.
Leek avoids the worst of the Wounding Ray, but still takes half of 9 necrotic damage.
Katerielle is struck full on by the paralyzing ray and is paralyzed for 1 minute, and thus loses concentration on her spell.
(1 min or until she makes her CON saving throw at the end of each of her turns)
(Rindelk, Elila and Katerielle's turns in Round 2)
Ha! Silly creature. We have a Hulk! Um. Where's our Goliath? Oh yeah...
You weren't kidding with the good luck! Sorry I killed all y'all!
Elila stands guard outside in the event somebody or something is called due to the fighting sounds.
