Daphyra moves slowly, quietly and non-threateningly to stand a few feet behind Nosam (F9) hoping he feels her reassuring presence behind him. She doesn't speak yet, but is ready to cast Toll the Dead in case of attack.
Kiselina remains where he is, next to Berry. He is unaware of anything happening with Nosam and the creature. He watches as Daphyra moves up, but holds his position until directed forward or a call for action is warranted. Occasionally, he looks at Berry and observes that the fairy is eyeing the ceiling and wonders if he will soon take flight.
"you alright nosam?" he asks, walking forwards a little bit, but not much, he assumes that daphyra has it handled, besides he iis not much good at comforting people

This Mug immediately shared with me a transcendental tale of an Infinite Mug that anchors the Universe and keeps it from folding in on itself. I filed this report under "illogical nonsense" and asked why its sign is in Times New Roman font, when it is basic knowledge that Arial Black is a far superior font. I wondered: How did this mug even get past the assembly line with its theistic beliefs and poor font choices?

Marten realizes that there's one problem with being at the back of the line. At just 5'5", he can't see over or around Vidruth and Kiselina very well when they're in a narrow tunnel. From his position, he can see that there's a chamber opening out in front of them, but it's difficult to see what's going on from his position. Since he often acts as a scout, Marten isn't used to this uncertainty of not knowing what's ahead. Shifting around impatiently, Marten asks in a quiet voice, "Can ye all move up? I don't want t' get squeezed at th' entrance like we did at the Cragmaws' cave."
Until Kiselina and Vidruth move into the chamber, Marten just tries to focus on his role as rear guard, watching and listening for anything that might be sneaking up behind them, but he fits a goblin arrow to his bow just in case.
Movement: None, basically staying where he is this round. Action: Keeping watch Perception7 Bonus Action: None Free Action: Talking, drawing an arrow
Finally having some space after the cramped tunnel, Berry doesn't wait a beat and takes flight as soon as they enter the chamber. While he doesn't want to get ahead too much as Nosam and Daphyra apparently want to scout, he tries to remain near Daphyra. His curiosity, however, gets the better of him and he peeks down the cleft (at G12 at 10 feet above ground, Perception: (17,10)). Then, he notices Nosam talking with someone even though he doesn't hear any details. He squints at the curious creature. Being fey himself, he is somewhat accustomed to strange appearances, but this fellow gives him the creeps with these filed teeth and all. No one shot at them yet, and they are still talking, therefore, he figures that it must be someone friendly or indifferent. Still, a little bit worried, he asks, "Are you ok, Nosam? Who's that?"
When Daphyra draws closer, the eyeball shifts nervously between her and Nosam before settling on her. She feels a tingle in her head. “GRRRHHH Daphyra, Daphyra! Rrrrready to toll the dead dread I said, Daphyra dearrrrrrruh. GRRRHHHHNNN.”
All of you hear this.
Berry, meanwhile, sees a mess at the bottom of the crevice closer to its center. Rags thrown about. Garbage rotting. From under a loose bundle of rags, a scratched arm hangs limply. The hand at its end is missing three fingers.
Kiselina steps forward a bit, partially in response to Marten, partially to cover the corridor, partially to try and determine what is making the noise. “Can’t really see much up there”, as he squints to see. He’s a bit worried about any delay in getting to Glassstaff quickly, but as long as an alarm isn’t sounded yet, he holds on to hope for success.
(Kiselina would use Divine Sense if he felt a tingling in his head. He would be trying to determine if Bahamut or something else was communicating with him.)
Berry also notes that the crevasse is a steep-sided fissure, 5 to 10 feet wide and 20 feet deep. (OOC: Its rough walls seem easily climbable without an ability check.)
The creature, Nosam and Daphyra notice, seems to be aware of the presence of all members of the party.
The creature answers Daphyra. “HEEEHEHEHEH, URGH!, That is goood crrestion! Who are you, GHEEE!!, and what do you want, Daphyra? Why come to my home. I no have time to creeeean up. And heeeeeee won't lift a fingerrrrr," it says, sheepishly indicating the limp, 2-fingered hand at the bottom of the cleft.
"Oh. Forrrrgot," it says, producing from a pocket in its rags a finger, likely from the hand below, which it now chews on, while thoughtfully awaiting your response.

The eye has called the two of them by name but now focuses more on Daphyra. Nosam answers Berry hoping not to draw the Eye's attention to the whole party; the eye is aware but not interested, yet. "He was in my head and now he's in Daphyra. Reading our thoughts and whatnot. I'll try to keep the focus on us, you all figure out something else this thing seems like he'll be one step ahead of us."

The creature removes the finger from its mouth and wags it at Daphyra chidingly. “Rrrrude to answer qrueeessstion with qruestionnn.”
Its glance shifts to Vidruth, who now feels a tingling in his mind.
“Mmmmmm…. Here to find red-cloth people. To killll! Downstairs you must goooo… Find rrrred cloths therre. G-GHHEEEEE!”
Vidruth. With a 20 Arcana, and moving closer to the creature to examine it, and having felt its presence in your head, you latch onto something you learned while exploring the bibliotecarium arcanum magnum in Neverwinter.
A curse.
And a jar of eyeballs.
The lich vecna, having achieved almost godlike power, created a trap for any who would follow his path. Their head would split in half, and their body grow spines like a cactus in a neverending desert of insanity. With half their mind gone, they would keep discovering secrets, but only in passing. Their baleful one-eyed glare could kill any who approach. And their other eye? At the moment the curse takes effect, it would cross time and space to appear in a collection jar on Vecna’s shelf, in his sanctum, in his castle, in the underdark or perhaps at the end of time where he had since been banished. The jar teems with the single eyeballs of many who have tried and failed to achieve lichhood.
What remains, the one-eyed, cursed creature, once a powerful wizard, is nothing more than an insane monstrosity of appetites and pointless curiosity, kept as jesters by evil lords, or sometimes, simply discovered wandering in tunnels deep under the earth.
But as with any other creature, once you know what it wants — in this case food, or items of arcane interest — it is possible to strike a deal.
Vidruth is thinking about these things when the bridge collapses under him. Of poor construction, it simply creaks once then snaps when the half-orc reaches the middle, and Vidruth falls to the bottom of the crevasse, taking 4 bludgeoning damage.
Vidruth lands prone in a jumble of rubble that is difficult terrain. Moreover, the bottom of the crevasse feels unnaturally cold, though not painfully so.
Berry turns rapidly, alarmed by the collapsing bridge, to find that Vidruth and the bridge had gone. When he sees Vidruth sprawling at the bottom of the crevice, he descends (to 5 feet above ground - that should be 15 feet below the cavern and 25 feet less than where he's now) and offers a hand, "Let me help you out of that hole. Who knows what's in there and what you can catch if you stay too long." If Vidruth accepts, Berry will lift him up to either side of the cleft (in the following turn, unless anything interrupts).

Marten almost jumps when he hears the creature's eerie voice. He can't tell where the voice is coming from, but since he doesn't see anything coming up the tunnel after them, he turns his attention to the chamber. As Kiselina and Vidruth move forward, he can finally see the strange creature with one big eye up ahead near Nosam. What is it? It's too small and too weird to be a cyclops.
Marten jogs into the chamber. He's just passing the bridge when he hears it collapse, sending Vidruth into the crevasse. He throws himself up against the boulder (at F12, boulder? stalagmite?) next to Kiselina and near Berry. He glances back and then asks Berry, "Berry, is Vidruth OK?" He assumes that the fairy has a better view of the crevasse, and he knows that Berry can get to the wizard faster than any of them, if needed.
Marten crouches behind the boulder and tries to hide from the one-eyed creature, which is the only threat he's seen. He draws his bow, and readies an attack against one-eye in case it attacks or tries to approach Vidruth in the crevasse.
Movement: 20', ending at F13 (G16 > G15 > G14 > F14 > F13) Action: ready an attack (with sharpshooter bonus damage) against one-eye Trigger: if the creature attacks his companions or moves south of H10 in the crevasse Attack, Shortbow (80/320): 2 Damage: 17, sneak attack (if applicable): 4 Second attack roll if the attack is with advantage: 12 Bonus Action: Cunning Action, Hide - Stealth14 Free Action: Talking
Kiselina startles when the bridge gives way and Vidruth falls. He starts to move to assist, but Berry is quicker. He steps forward to address the Eye, moving closer to Daphyra, but returns to watch the first set of stairs as before. His polearm at his side held in one hand, not threatening “You are quite the unique person, aren’t you, very insightful. Yes, we are here to end the Redbrands, please pay no mind to our use of their red cloaks as a disguise. We are here for Glassstaff and information about one called the Black Spider as well. The only other interest we have within the manor halls has to do with captured residence of the town. If you mean us no harm, and do not hinder our efforts, we will leave you to be. We have no qualms with you”
vidruth raises one hand, and then crashes through with a yelp and a grunt "thank you berry" he says a little distractedly, pulling himself to his feet "very impressive, and he got far enough to trigger it? ver interesting, such a shame" he mutters to himself "dont worry im alright!" turning back to the creature her gives a half bow "downstairs you say? thank you for your information." he pauses, considering his next statement carefully
