Enraged by the relentless assault and the taunts of the hooded figure, Galdric let out a primal roar and charged with ferocious determination. He caught the robed adversary by surprise, his momentum propelling both of them off the ledge in a grappling tumble. As they plummeted towards the ground, Galdric invoked his teleportation ability, the 'Blessing of the Raven Queen,' to safely reappear on the ground. The robed figure, deprived of Galdric's support, crashed down onto the mercenary below.
The impact was horrific, the sound of bones breaking and bodies crumpling resounded through the area. The mercenary beneath the robed figure was crushed instantly, his body a mangled mess under the weight of the fall. Miraculously, the robed figure rose from the wreckage, albeit with visible injuries and a snarl of frustration and pain.
Horros, seizing the moment of distraction, channeled his fury into a devastating strike. With a mighty swing, he brought his mace down onto the orc that had wounded him. The blow was merciless and precise, landing with a brutal force. The mace connected with the orc's shoulder, crushing bone and tearing through muscle with a gruesome ferocity. The orc bellowed in pain, its shoulder now a mangled mess, rendering its arm nearly useless. The injury was severe, blood gushing from the wound, but the orc, though badly injured, still stood, its resilience in the face of such a debilitating injury a testament to its brutish toughness.
Bell, who had been momentarily stunned into silence by the sheer intensity of the battle, snapped back into action at the sight of Horros's brutal retaliation. He quickly cast 'Healing Word,' the magic weaving through the air to envelop Horros. A warm, rejuvenating light surrounded Horros, mending some of his wounds and bolstering his strength.
Zyzix, chanting under his breath, attempted to cast a spell, but nothing materialized. Frustrated, he cursed under his breath before shouting encouragement to Horros, "Horros, you're the unbreakable wall! Keep fighting, we need you!" His words, filled with the power of Bardic Inspiration, were designed to uplift and empower Horros, giving him an additional surge of resolve and strength amidst the chaos of battle.
Nearby, Taya faced the immediate threat of two orcs brandishing their axes with menacing intent. The first orc, lunging forward in a wild arc, swung its axe at Taya. However, in its haste and aggression, the attack missed wide, the blade slicing through the air inches away from her. Taya narrowly dodged the swing, but her relief was short-lived.
The second orc, capitalizing on her momentary distraction, struck with brutal precision. Its axe came crashing down, connecting with a sickening thud against Taya’s shoulder. The sharp edge of the blade cut through armor and flesh, biting deeply into her body. A jolt of excruciating pain surged through Taya as blood began to seep from the grievous wound. The force of the blow staggered her, nearly bringing her to her knees.
Despite the severity of the injury, Taya remained on her feet, her resilience in the face of such a devastating attack a testament to her strength and determination. She gritted her teeth against the pain, steeling herself to continue fighting.
Taya takes 14 damage, Horros gains 8 HP in addition to his temp hp. Galdric gains 3 temp hp. Horros has bardic inspiration. It is now Taya's turn
Taya observes the development with increasing hope. Maybe they still have a chance. If they can take the leader captive, perhaps the rest stands down? The orcs around her, however, don't give her much breathing room to finalise any thought and an axe came crushing down on her biting into her shoulder. She needs to concentrate on her own fight for now. She steps in between the two orcs to position herself more close to the wall where the third one lies and brings her longsword down on the injured orc.

Sorry, I'm beginning to enter a vacation period and while I will try to check-in at least daily, I cannot promise that I will always be able to do so. From September 1, I should be back to normal.
The hooded figure, having fallen to the ground amidst the chaos of battle, quickly found himself encircled by Horros and Galdric. Fueled by rage and a desperate desire to survive, he transformed into a whirlwind of lethal strikes. With a scimitar in one hand and a dagger in the other, he lashed out at Galdric with a ferocious intensity.
His first slash with the scimitar was a feint, missing Galdric as he deftly sidestepped. However, the figure swiftly followed up with a second, unexpected blow. This time, the scimitar caught Galdric off guard, the blade raking across his armor with a grating sound. The steel bit into his flesh, opening a deep, bloody gash. Galdric grunted in pain, feeling the searing agony of the wound.
The figure, with an almost unnatural grace, then spun around Galdric, effortlessly evading a clumsy swing from Horros. Finding himself behind Galdric's defenses, the figure thrust his dagger cruelly into Galdric's back. "Ah, how easily you fall, just like before," he sneered, his voice dripping with contempt. "It seems death favors you, and I am but its humble servant." The blade sank to the hilt, the pain excruciating as Galdric felt the cold steel pierce through armor and flesh.
Above on the wall, the goblin archer took aim at Drax and released an arrow. It flew straight and true, striking Drax in the calf. Drax screamed in pain, the arrow embedding itself deep in his muscle, blood beginning to stain his clothing.
One of the mercenaries on the wall aimed a bolt at Horros. With a fraction of a second to react, Horros brought his shield up, the bolt striking it with a resounding clang. The force of the impact jarred his arm, but he managed to deflect the deadly missile at the last moment, narrowly avoiding injury.
The last mercenary targeted Bell, firing a crossbow bolt that found its mark. The bolt slammed into Bell's chest, the impact knocking the wind out of him. He groaned in agony, staggering back as blood began to seep from the wound, his breaths coming in ragged gasps.
Galdric took 9 damage, Drax took 5 damage, Bell took 8 damage. It is how Haj and Cal's turns.
Seeing Haj breaking for the main fight Cal will try a risky maneuver to try to head that way too. First he spends 10ft of movement to circle to the south of the orc assailant in his face, then he casts mind sliver to both injure and distract him, as the pain hopefully weakends his defenses, Cal telekinetically shoves him away, hoping to open the gap he needs to continue another 20ft south towards allies.
(He'll run south either way, and will shield if struck)

I'm probably laughing.
It is apparently so hard to program Aberrant Mind and Clockwork Soul spell-swapping into dndbeyond they had to remake the game without it rather than implement it.
Haj quickly notched another arrow, aiming it at the orc engaged in combat with Cal. With a swift release, the arrow flew towards its target, but in the heat of the moment, it missed by a mere inch, clattering against the wall right next to the orc's head. The orc flinched at the sudden sound, its attention momentarily diverted.
Seizing this opportunity, Cal focused his arcane energy, casting 'Mind Sliver.' He unleashed a spike of psychic energy that pierced into the orc's mind. The orc clutched its head, screaming in torment as the spell wreaked havoc on its mental faculties. The psychic assault was brutal and disorienting, leaving the orc reeling in agony, its thoughts fragmented and its senses overwhelmed.
Without hesitation, Cal then employed his telekinetic ability to shove the orc away. The force of the push sent the orc stumbling backward, still screaming from the psychic onslaught. The orc's pain was evident in its contorted features and desperate cries, but it managed to stay on its feet, barely clinging to consciousness.
Cal then turned and ran south towards the main fray, where Galdric, Horros, and the others were engaged in a fierce struggle. His movements were swift, driven by the urgency to support his comrades.
Meanwhile, to the south, the orc fighting Horros, though horribly injured, lashed out in a last act of futile rage. Its attack, however, lacked the strength and precision it once had, missing Horros entirely. The goblin to the west, caught in a state of panic, fired an arrow towards Galdric. The shot was hasty and ill-aimed, whizzing past Galdric without making contact.

Horros seeing the orc in front of him falter, takes another swing looking to end his foe and assist Galdric with Riggs. He then commands his spiritual weapon to attack its nearest enemy. "Oi bossman, I'm coming for ya next, don't you worry!"
Attack on Orc: Attack: 17 Damage: 5 (Bless: 3 ) --> if I miss I'll add +3 with my Fortune of the Many feature.
Amidst the brutal chaos of the battle, Galdric, despite his grave wounds, was consumed by a righteous fury. Summoning the divine power of his goddess, he channeled her wrath into a mighty smite. With a roar of determination, he swung his blade, not with the intention to kill, but to incapacitate. His sword, imbued with holy energy, struck the robed figure with a thunderous force. The impact was so powerful that it wiped the sneering expression off the figure's face, leaving him severely wounded and unconscious. Blood trickled from a gash on his head, his body crumpling to the ground in a heap, no longer a threat but still clinging to life.
Emboldened by Galdric's decisive action, Horros seized the initiative. Turning his attention back to the orc he had been battling, Horros lifted his mace high. With a battle cry, he brought it down with all his might onto the orc. The blow landed squarely on the orc's skull, crushing it with a sickening crunch. Bone gave way under the mace's weight, and the orc's cry for mercy was abruptly silenced as its body went limp, the light fading from its eyes. It was a quick but gruesome end, the orc's life extinguished in a moment of merciless retribution.
Horros, not missing a beat, called out to his spiritual weapon. The ethereal longsword, glowing with divine energy, responded to his command and lashed out at one of the two orcs facing Taya. The blade sliced through the air, finding its mark with lethal precision. It cleaved through the orc's defenses, cutting deep into its flesh. The orc let out a final gasp before collapsing to the ground, lifeless, its body bearing the fatal wound inflicted by the spiritual weapon.
Drax focused his arcane prowess on a bandit positioned on the wall. With a subtle gesture and an utterance of eldritch words, he cast 'Dissonant Whispers.' The spell, a cacophony of jarring, discordant sounds, targeted the mind of the unsuspecting bandit.
The effect was immediate and harrowing. The bandit clutched his head, his face contorting in excruciating pain as the spell bombarded his senses. The invisible, psychic noise assaulted him, overwhelming his mental defenses. To the onlookers, it was a chilling sight – the bandit, screaming in unbearable agony, his body wracked by the invisible torment inflicted by Drax's spell.
Bell looks up at the conglomeration of foes above his head evident by their yelling. He points his hand towards the higher end of the wall and rubs a piece of mica in his fingers while reciting arcane words. Suddenly a cacophony erupts on top of the wall, hopefully incapacitating some of the defenders.
Action: cast Shatter at the SW corner of the ammo stack (grid cell corner bordering at AC/AD 26/27) so that bandits at AA25, AB26, AD25, AE25, the ammo stack and the ballista are within the 10 feet radius sphere. 11 thunder damage or half with successful CON save at DC 13.
Taya: Taya appreciates the help of Drax with one of the orcs. Two were just too much for her but one she thinks, she can manage. She tries to grapple the orc and drag him to dugouts, where already one of his companions found an untimely end.
Action: Grapple Orc, Athletics DC 5 :/ Move: if grapple successful, she moves towards the dugout and drops the orc, then moves close to the wall next to Bell. If unsuccessful by just two points, Bell uses Cutting Words to subtract 1d6 from the orc's roll.

Bell, recognizing the urgency of the situation, took several steps back from the wall to gain a clear line of sight. With focused concentration, he began to mutter an incantation, his hands moving through the air in a precise pattern. He was casting 'Shatter' spell, targeting the top of the battlement where the ballista ammunition was stored.
As he completed the spell, a high-pitched, ear-piercing shriek erupted from the area around the ballista. The sound was so intense it seemed to vibrate the very air. The ballista bolts, unable to withstand the sonic assault, were sent flying in all directions, turning into deadly projectiles themselves.
The mercenaries stationed nearby were caught completely off guard. They clutched their ears in a futile attempt to block out the devastating noise, their faces twisted in pain. The overwhelming sound drowned out their screams. As the spell continued its relentless assault, the mercenaries began to convulse violently. Blood started to stream from behind their hands and ears, the sonic force proving too much for them to bear. One by one, three of the four mercenaries collapsed to the ground, their bodies lifeless, their ears and noses bleeding profusely from the internal damage caused by the spell.
The remaining mercenary, though visibly shaken and in pain, managed to stay on his feet. He looked to the last goblin on the walls, who also appeared on the brink of fleeing. However, in a moment of resolve, they both steeled themselves and stepped forward to continue the fight. The goblin notched an arrow and released it towards Drax. The arrow flew true, penetrating Drax's leathers and embedding itself in his flesh. Drax screamed in agony, another wound adding to his growing list of injuries. The mercenary, aiming his crossbow at Galdric, fired a bolt. Galdric, reacting just in time, narrowly dodged the bolt, which whistled past him, a reminder of the ever-present threat they faced.
Taya, with a burst of determination, made a bold move against the last remaining orc near her. She lunged forward, attempting to grapple the orc and restrain it. Her hands reached out, trying to get a firm hold on the massive, muscular creature.
However, the orc, fueled by rage and desperation, reacted with brute force. With a powerful shake, it threw off Taya's grasp. Its body heaved and twisted, breaking free from her hold with a display of raw strength. The orc's aggressive maneuver sent Taya stumbling backward, her attempt at grappling the creature proving futile against its overwhelming physical power.
It is Cal and Haj's turn. Drax has 10 hp (and deleted his character sheet so I hope someone screenshotted it lol)
Cal tries to repeat the same tactic. He sends a mind sliver to distract and weaken the orc followed by another telekinetic shove to get it away from him and he continues to make his way towards his allies to the south. (shield if the shove fails and the aoo hits) Save DC 13 for both effects.
It is apparently so hard to program Aberrant Mind and Clockwork Soul spell-swapping into dndbeyond they had to remake the game without it rather than implement it.
Haj, with a keen eye and steady hand, took aim at the orc pursuing Cal. He drew his bow, the string taut with tension, and released an arrow. The arrow whizzed through the air with lethal precision, striking the orc in the back. The impact forced a grunt of pain from the orc, who stumbled but did not fall, the arrow protruding gruesomely from its flesh.
Seizing the moment, Cal focused his arcane energy, casting "Mind Sliver." He unleashed a spike of psychic energy that pierced the already wounded orc's mind. The effect was immediate and horrifying. The orc clutched its head, its face contorted in excruciating pain as the psychic assault overwhelmed its senses. The orc's screams of anguish filled the air, a testament to the unbearable torment inflicted by the spell. Blood began to seep from its eyes, ears, and nose as the psychic energy ravaged its mind, leaving it in a state of unbearable agony. In mere moments, the orc's body convulsed violently before collapsing to the ground, lifeless, the mental torture proving too much to bear.
Meanwhile, to the west of Horros, the goblin, witnessing the party's relentless and savage onslaught, reached its breaking point. Fear overtook its resolve, and it turned to flee. The goblin scampered away in a panic, desperate to escape the carnage and chaos that had engulfed the battlefield. Its retreat was hasty and disorganized, driven by the instinctive need to survive in the face of overwhelming odds.
Galdric sees that the enemy is in bad shape. He is very tempted to keep up the attack and try and eliminate the rest of the troublesome mercs. But something nags at him. They have Riggs, their intended target, unconscious and at his mercy. As much as Galdric would relish finishing off the enemy, his duty is clear to him. It is his responsibility to take the the assured victory that lays before him and not risk loosing Riggs for the sake of revenge against the rest. With that Galdric hauls the unconscious Riggs over his shoulder and begins making for the trees. Hopefully fear for their leader will prevent any ballista shots from coming his way. As he goes he regards Horros:
"I'm taking this one back to camp. I think we've accomplished what we set out to do. I trust all of you to finish things up here as you see fit. If you don't follow right away, make yourselves known prior to entering camp, I'll be on guard watching for pursuit. I wouldn't want to attack any of you by mistake!"
With that, Galdric heads south towards the trees.
(I'm assuming the weight of the Riggs on my back would reduce me to half movement, so I only went 15 ft.)

It is Taya and Bell's turn
Bell:
Taya:
Taya appreciates the help of Drax with one of the orcs. Two were just too much for her but one she thinks, she can manage. She tries to grapple the orc and drag him to dugouts, where already one of his companions found an untimely end.
Action: Grapple Orc, Athletics DC 5 :/
Move: if grapple successful, she moves towards the dugout and drops the orc, then moves close to the wall next to Bell. If unsuccessful by just two points, Bell uses Cutting Words to subtract 1d6 from the orc's roll.
Sorry, I'm beginning to enter a vacation period and while I will try to check-in at least daily, I cannot promise that I will always be able to do so. From September 1, I should be back to normal.

Haj knocks another arrow and set it toward the orc chasing Cal
Attack Attack: 8 Damage: 5
Hunters mark 2
He then continues his run ending up alongside Taya

Portia Thornleaf - Halfling Rogue
Cal tries to repeat the same tactic. He sends a mind sliver to distract and weaken the orc followed by another telekinetic shove to get it away from him and he continues to make his way towards his allies to the south. (shield if the shove fails and the aoo hits) Save DC 13 for both effects.
I'm probably laughing.
It is apparently so hard to program Aberrant Mind and Clockwork Soul spell-swapping into dndbeyond they had to remake the game without it rather than implement it.
It is now Drax, Galdric, and Horros' turn

Seeing Galdric heading away Drax' resolve falters. He casts dissonant whispers at the last merc on the wall (AA26) and sets off running after Galdric.
