"We already knew the Morbus Doctore held power. And I think we can infer they'd not take kindly to anyone infringing on their cure monopoly," Nesyax quickly replies quickly. "Why openly say we might be working on a cure? And then double down on insults when he clearly hinted such talk was dangerous." She shrugs. "I thought we were here to make money. Not lead a revolution. This peon guard could be a customer!"
"Well, I don't think I said we are working on a cure, I merely said it would be needed here, but you are right of course, I guess I have some problem with accepting the oppression of these plague doctors. I came here to make business of hunting monsters, not to watch children die painfully to a plague." Daryos says grimly. "I will do better though, you have my word, there is not point of being open enemies with the Morbus Doctore, not yet anyway." He says with a small smile. "Thanks for keeping me in line though Ms. Sanaldi, I appreciate that."He finishes with a friendly smile as they continue towards the Crow's Nest.
Stasyn follows along as he now knows the guards could be of use and they may even let him come and go. "I wonder if there is a breach or if there is some secret tunnel. I guess we will find out soon enough."
"The barkeep offered to sell us the information, even get us through it, but I have my doubts," Kitaer offers. "If he was really selling the secret so readily how is it still a secret, mainly. Seems more likely a scam to get newcomers to for over what gold they have then lead them into an ambush. It's not like the law will come looking for someone if they end up missing..."
Vesna hurries over to walk in line with Kitaer and Stasyn, and adds. "I wonder if the old man with the veggies cart knows of it or another way out. He certainly implied he has more use than just a provider of fresh produce in the area..." she looks around warily to make sure nobody is near to eavesdrop.
The group makes their way along the wall separating the city of Liesech from the quarantine zone. From the front gate you could already see the Crown's nest, but as you approach you begin to see just how fortified and large it actually is. The wall the group is following is suddenly separated by a large church that seems to be built stronger than the wall the surrounds it. While the wall looks relatively new, the church is much older. Two individuals stand near the heavy door of the church wearing the plague doctor outfits that you have seen a few times now while another is seen walking around in what used to be a bell tower high above the city streets.
While the group watches in interest, the doors slowly open with a loud creak and two move members of the Morbus Doctore step out and begin making their way out into the street. A strange green light emanates from inside the building before the door quickly closes behind the two men.
"So, considering what we know about the plague doctors, do we want to establish friendly relations or just keep our distance?"The young white-haired noble quietly asks the team as they walk towards the crows nest.
"Easier to punch someone in the face if they think you're a friend," Kitaer says with a half-shrug. "If you can make them think we're friendly I don't see how that is bad for us in the long run?"
"If they have the cure then yes, we should establish some rapport with them in the event one of us gets infected. I know they charge an arm and a leg but still we should get to know them" says Stasyn.
The two plague doctors make their way into the street and begin walking in your direction. They obviously see you but to not approach as they continue walking down the street. As they get closer, you realize that one of the two individuals appears to be a female and is slightly more well dressed than her shorter escort. The female walks with her back straight and head held high as though she is someone of importance while the shorter individual follows closely behind. Based on the height of the escort you assume that perhaps they are a gnome or halfling. They seem to keep looking over their shoulder and slightly twitching as if paranoid or on edge.
The female plague doctor tilts her head to the side slightly as though somewhat confused as she examines the group before simply offering a slight nod. The shorter figure becomes fixated on the group and moves to position himself between the woman and the party as they move past but doesn't say anything.
OOC: The pair will continue walking past unless a member of the party stops them.
The young white-haired noble nods to the others. "Thank you for your advice, I will do my very best to follow it." He adds to Nesyax with a wink.
"Greetings, may we intrude on you for a moment?" Daryos says very politely, well-mannered and non-threatening, with a graceful bow. "We are new to this place and everywhere we turn people say the Morbus Doctore are the only ones powerful to understand the plague. We are not yet afflicted but rumour has it that you have a cure for it?"

Kitaer takes a step away from Daryos and the plague doctor, staying in sight of the one who seems to be a bit of a bodyguard but visibly moving away from the charge and standing casually, patiently as any discussion takes place. The goal to seem as non-threatening as possible. But Kitaer listens and pays attention to what is said...
Stasyn offers a thin smile and rolls up his sleeves to show indeed he and his companions are not infected. He stays silent as he lacks the panache of Daryos.
As the noble begins to address the pair, the small twitchy figure reaches for a green vial on his belt and steps toward Daryos. Before they can get the potion free from their belt, the taller female plague doctor places a hand on his shoulder, prompting him to release the vial and take a step back. The beaked mask of the shorter figure sways from person to person as he watches for any signs of hostility.
"Good day." The woman says from behind her mask. Her voice is sweet like honey and sharp but slightly muffled due to the mask she wears. "I suppose we can spare some time. You'll have to pardon Gordon here... He isn't the most trusting sort." She then turns her head slightly towards the smaller figure, and with a quick glance upwards, the shorter doctor takes another small step back and seems to twitch... a little less. The black eyes of her mask move to look at each member of the party as though staring into your souls before turning back to Daryos. "So when you say that you are new here, I presume that you are not merely referring to Liesech." She says in a tone that you are sure is accompanied by a small grin behind her mask. "Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Acute. It also acts as a fairly accurate description as well." She adds with a small tilt of her head. "The Morbus Doctore are a group of like minded doctors and survivors of the Weeping Pox. When the Weeping Pox arrived to punish the city of Liesech, we banded together to find a cure for the disease. Countless citizens of Etharis have died... many of them members of our organization that have been working to bring an end to the Pox." She then pauses and looks to Gordon before looking back to Daryos. "It is true that we have managed to create a cure for the Weeping Pox through great effort and much sacrifice by members of our organization. It was also during this time that we have come to understand much about the nature of this magical disease." She adds with a small nod.
She then looks to each of you. "Now that you know who I am and what we do... how about you tell me a little more about yourselves. What brings five adventurers like yourselves to a place like this? I presume you are not prisoners since you carry weapons and armor. I also presume that you are not working on behalf of the city watch, since I've been informed your group is staying in the abandoned Miklas temple. The Watch will hire mercenaries from time to time to handle problems within the quarantine zone... but they are always careful to leave before nightfall." She tilts her head and taps the tip of her beaked mask with a slender gloved hand. "Quite peculiar... your group."
The young white-haired noble politely and attentively listens to the Plague Doctor. "I suppose your colleague would have good reason to stay vigilant with sick and desperate people around knowing you have a cure." He says with a polite smile before continuing. "We are a team magically transported here from a city known as Waterdeep to set up a business of monster hunting and yes, we have indeed made the abandoned church a temporary base of operations until we can find something more permanent, our first business here being finding and dealing with the one they call the Bone Collector. It's minions seem to be able to sneak into the quarantine zone during the dark hours to collect bones for their master and the city watch are interested to know where the breach is. We can of course understand the importance of keeping those sick isolated to not spread the plague. About the plague though, out of curiosity, what did you find out about it's origins, and the masks you wear, are they protecting you from it?" He asks with a polite smile. "And our services are of course available to you should you have any matters that needed attendance."
Kitaer quickly notes the green vial and wonders just what it is. A potion of some kind? A poison? He looks to the fancier "doctor" and looks to see if they have anything similar on their belt. He idly wonders about the other plague doctors as well, if this is a common tool of theirs perhaps, but he doesn't think he's really seen any others close enough to recall. Wonder if I could manage to slip that off him as we depart, he thinks to himself but is hesitant since the doctor themself had trouble pulling it free...
"Gordo," Kitaer says with a nod to the other one, a small show of respect. "How they hanging? People normally giving you all a wide berth in the zone? I'm kind of surprised they don't swarm you begging for the cure and all..."

Vesna curiously looks at the the plague doctors, finding their apparel quite interesting for some reason. She also considers the small vial that the shorter person carries, and tries to think of the vials she found in the Wet Weasel, whether it is similar in any way or not.
